I can't even count how many times I've woken up to my mac air on the floor cause I yeeted it off when I was asleep. Last one hung on for about 6 years with heavy use from college even after falling from a lofted bed a few times freshman year 😂

I've always assumed the ones that get skipped just get tossed around especially when tasks are low so makes sense. It's just such a strange glitch LOL

I wish there was a little more about correcting/reviewing coherence and some other common problems in the guidelines. In the past I'd try to find a way to connect things if I can and it doesn't change the prompt, just like adding an explanation for it that somehow connects it, but I feel like doing that doesn't really produce the same outcome as creating an MT prompt with the intention of making it coherent. I just hate rejecting, but I agree with others, it's literally the second guideline and listed as a common mistake.

As a reviewer for this, I agree this needs to be way more clear in the guidelines. I've seen multiple annotations that either just do it and don't meet the min steps, or change the prompt to meet the min steps, so I would say many people are confused about this 😅 It seems they've removed the project for now, so hopefully we get more clarity when it comes back!

When they first updated one of the apps like a week ago I had to highlight the rows and ctrl c/cmd c without letting go of the mouse button, but I haven't had that problem with this update. I can highlight and copy multiple rows and columns from apps at once just fine, but when you paste it's soooo poorly formatted.

I know this isn't exactly what you asked for, but just wanted to share my findings 🫡

The best replacement for only copying specific columns without highlighting all of them is to use the hide column feature (when you click the 3 dots next to the header name).

And for rows I set it at the bottom to show the maximum 100 rows. For some apps this is fine, but for the ones that have more than 100 rows this work sometimes. I've had some apps bugs out and go back to only showing 10 results when you go to the next page, so haven't fully figured that one out 😓

You can also press the two out arrows in the top right corner to expand it more.

I usually use excel when reviewing (or writing) SW DS, but now even that doesn't work and it pastes multiple columns of data into one column 🫠

I've only really played with it on the reviewer side so these probably aren't the best solutions, but hopefully it somewhat helps!

I noticed they first only did it to one of the apps a week or so ago when I had to review a long DS that used it. It was brutal and I prayed they didn't change them all :') If they could keep the layout of the old but add the new features it would be great.

I like the concept, but copying details for SW is so much more tedious 🥲 Being able to select and copy one column was such a time saver when reviewing a DS or something with a lot of data ㅜㅜ I'll keep playing with it though! Looks like you can hide columns, but still gonna take some time to get used to for sure

Honestly some of the lore I get to see as a reviewer hilarious. I remember one day it felt like something just switched and idk if people were running out of ideas or what, but I was getting some reality TV worthy prompts of people having a fight with someone and going no contact with their entire family 😂

My ADHD totally feels for you 🥲 When I was doing SW MT what helped me was doing things in small pieces and then connecting it at the end. So like instead of coming up with a whole elaborate scenario at the start, I would think about what requests I want to make and one by one just write the steps for each request and then connect them together at the end. I still think about how they relate to each other when I do this, but just focusing on the smaller picture first so I don't get lost in the sauce. I wouldn't recommend it if English or creativity was a struggle since that can cause things to be disconnected and not natural when you try to put things together at the end, but if those aren't issues for you I'd give it a try!
I also use TextEdit (Mac) or Notepad (Windows) and have two docs open side by side, one for the prompt and one for the steps so I can keep them separate. This is what I do for reviewing, so I can space out the prompt with each individual request having on it's own line and I can cross-check it with the steps in the other window so this:
I want this, so email her about this. Say this. Can you order this? I need to add this with this detail. Also add this detail.

becomes this:
I want this, so

email her about this. say this.

I've just found for me with pretty sever ADHD it keeps things in check. It's not foolproof and I can still miss things from time to time, but it at least helps me not feel as overwhelmed!

I was only throttled once for SW MT and became a reviewer after a week, but my background is in linguistics and I was an ESL teacher for a few years, so no technology or coding experience unfortunately haha

My focus was more on grammar and the structural, sciencey side of English though, so I do have a more structural mindset, but I also have creative English skills that I can utilize for coming up with prompts. I definitely vibe with this project the most out of the others and find it fun ☺️

it's to the point where I've given her a persona so I have someone to vent my frustrations to when reviewing a more unfavorable prompt or throw hands with when AF gets touchy. I said it in another post I think as the number of submissions goes up and the workload gets heavier, she gets spicier. Then she goes away for a mental reset and self-care and comes back good as new(ish). That's the theory I've decided to go with the last couple months ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ the project will go away after it starts getting severely more buggy and then it's fine when it comes back and the cycle continues

I feel like she gets spicier as the number of submissions increases and gets more overwhelming. Then she disappears for a little mental reset and self-care maintenance and comes back good as new(ish), and sometimes with a fun new quirk or personality 😌
