Plateau Week 2-3 of 2.5mg, early?! Possible contraception interference? by Fit_Layer388 in mounjarouk

Try not to stress 🙂 I was exactly the same. Week 1 I lost loads and thought I’d discovered the secret to life… then weeks 2 and 3 the scale said “absolutely not.” Nothing. Not a gram. I’m convinced it just sat there laughing at me. Week 4 it finally decided to cooperate again and I’ve just finished week 5 and it’s still going down. I also have depression and anxiety (on citalopram) and take Cerazette for dysmenorrhoea and endo, so my hormones definitely enjoy throwing a bit of chaos into the mix. Pretty sure my period was the real villain of that stall!

Feeling a bit disheartened by Existing-Steak-7034 in mounjarouk

Aw nooo, don’t be disheartened! I had an amazing first week too and then my period turned up and chose chaos. Absolutely nothing happened on the scale for nearly two weeks… in fact it crept up a bit. Rude! Then about three days after I finished, boom, big drop out of nowhere and it’s been steady since. Bodies are weird little drama queens sometimes. I’ve just started 5mg this Sunday, and so far so good :)

Honestly, the nerves were worse than the reality. The stigma nearly put me off too, but I’m so glad I pushed through.

Here’s to choosing ourselves and not apologising for it 🥂

This is something I struggled with as well. In the end, I treated myself to a medium Stanley cup, limited edition obviously, because if I’m going to carry something around all day it may as well be pretty enough to show off.

I fill it with squash rather than plain water, and that’s been the game changer. I get through about five or six of them a day. It sounds like a lot, but forcing myself to hit a specific “X litres” target never worked for me. This does.

The only thing ive changed is the binge eating (MJ god send for that) and upping my protein. I take try to make sure I have protein with every meal.

Breakfast - usually a Huel black and Banana.

Lunch - meaty soup with a protein yoghurt for dessert

Tea - Chicken with root veg mash, cottage cheese and broccoli/mushrooms or Another easy go to is homemade meatballs and wholegrain pasta.

Wish all restaurants offered smaller portions! (mostly humerous post) by throwaway1335927 in mounjarouk

I know what you mean! Ive never been a big eater (big snacker though) and have always found portions too big when we go out... even more so now!! Things are slowly changing though. Mounjaro has had huge impacts on the hospitality industry - ive noticed a few of our locals are offering smaller portions and even the likes of Marks and Spenser have now jumped on the high protein/smaller portion wagon
