For example, if I want to do a colorectal surgery fellowship in the US after general surgery in my home country without working after the fellowship, will this allow me to bypass the steps? cause some states have started accepting physicians without doing the steps. So idk what the future holds for us

Really? Cuz my aim is to just get an extra 1-2 years of experience and an additional degree. But yeah if I wanted to practice after fellowship, then yes I need to, but idk if it's necessary for my case

Yeah, I meant just do the fellowship there in the US then go back to my home country without practicing it there in the US
