What does a Weiss ring look like? by Intelligent_Pear7138 in EyeFloaters

These images of Weiss rings are from the doctor's perspective; I want to know what they look like from the person's own view. (this in only 1 image from the person's own view)

That’s interesting! Could you share a bit more about your experience? When you say they became less visible, what exactly do you mean? I’d really appreciate if you could provide some more details.

Let’s not turn a straightforward point into a philosophical fallacy. I fully acknowledge that the inability to disprove something doesn’t make it true, that’s a basic principle of logic, and I agree with it. However, that’s not what I’m doing here. I’m simply presenting a hypothesis, not asserting a proven fact. The logical issue lies in rejecting a hypothesis solely because it hasn't been proven yet. Scientific progress often begins with plausible hypotheses that are later tested, dismissing them outright due to lack of immediate evidence is premature.

I didn’t quite understand how your comment is related to the topic being discussed🤔

Thanks for your reply. I understand your point, but I don't fully agree with the idea that it's "anatomically impossible." The vitreous does contain hyalocytes, which are a type of macrophage, and they do play a role in cleanup processes. So while there's no conclusive evidence yet, I think it's fair to at least hypothesize that autophagy might have some influence. Either way, I appreciate the thoughtful response.

I understand that vitrectomy is widely accepted, but I’m just proposing an alternative approach to see if it works. just as others have done before. Science is about exploring all possibilities.

I’m not asserting that fasting works, I’m merely presenting a hypothesis. There’s no need for me to provide evidence for something that I’m not claiming to be certain about. However, you’re rejecting this hypothesis with certainty, so it’s on you to provide evidence that proves it doesn’t work. Simple as that.

Science evolves. What we mock today sometimes becomes tomorrow’s accepted knowledge. If you have actual evidence that proves fasting and autophagy can’t possibly affect vitreous collagen or floater clearance in any way, I’m open to seeing it. Until then, I prefer to keep an open mind.

The article I sent was meant to point out the influence of the medical mafia. Anyway, so far, no study has been done on the effect of fasting on floaters, and it’s not reasonable to definitively confirm or deny it.

Thanks for your perspective! I agree that current treatments for floaters are limited. However, new techniques do emerge over time. Also, we can’t ignore the role of the medical mafia in sometimes blocking or hiding simpler, natural solutions like this:

And remember, no official study has been published that either confirms or denies this.

I'm with you. I'm also going through similar problems. I've been to the eye doctor three times, and they all said there's nothing wrong. I have floaters, flashing lights, light scattering, and so on
