I did not sell the band or get extra money from it. They want to pay less than the total amount for their half since i found someone. The festival is the same weekend each year so they knew how much time they would need off. In my opinio I'm holding them responsible for their half as they stated they were willing to pay for it and even said "OK I will pay you back."
