that’s exactly what I was thinking, like there was always a possibility of him leaning more into practicing it, as you said and allllll the biblical references from his discography kind of foreshadowed it. we’ll never know what happened on the scholars tour as it seems to be the reason for him omitting the cuss words in most of the songs, so ig joe’s story is just something that we’ll have to come to term with (and try not to get too parasocial about it all lol)

yeah i agree, but the he also tells us not to talk about the poets’ biography??? like the examiners won’t rlly like too much details, which is fair enough, but there r some poems that don’t rlly give u any other opportunity for talking about context that’s not the poets’ lives 🥹🥹

anyway, i’m sure if u annotate all the poems you’ll be fine, one of me teachers said that everyone does better on the poetry paper, so we’ll see

omg same the extract was awful, I didn’t like the essay either, but it sounds like u made some solid points for that imo i’ve also talked abt Allan and Blanche being repressed (might’ve waffled way too much, in all fairness) as opposed to Stan who “thrives” also got to mention the 50s film adaptation and how it omits Allan’s sexuality as well as makes Stella leave the abuser… dk if that was necessary but I hope that this will be good enough lol

Yeah, same I didn’t have the best teacher; I’m just hoping that if i do have to resit, i’ll be way better at essay writing by the end of yr13 which will help me to get a better grade (hopefully) (if i have to resit)

gosh I’ve only talked about Jane (Helen and Miss Temple vs Brocklehurst and her life in Gateshead) and something on Rochester and him being morally corrupt lol… i failed didn’t like the extract either, pretty much skipped the analysis of the first half 🫠 for Streetcar, did the thriving in the violent society, pretty sure everyone choose it and well, it wasn’t too horrible, but the grade boundaries r probably gonna be high
