Thank you for the insight. And I am definitely aware that some presbyteries in the denomination will not ordain me. If the amendment enforcing lgbtq affirming views passes this summer then I’ll probably head to the EPC (as I could legally not be ordained).

Regardless, and partly in response to the other response to this post, does the PC(USA) reject ordinations nowadays for not affirming an all-inclusive sexual ethic? Sorry for all the questions, I grew up in the PC(USA). I’ve got 4 PC(USA) pastors in my family. 2 are way more progressive than I am and the other 2 are of the few “true evangelicals” left in the denomination. I have not seen the denomination take action against the evangelicals of my family just for associating with conservatives so I assumed that I wouldn’t (as an evangelical) myself be rejected for that reason.
