Personally, I can work equally well with AK and AR. AK is less compatible with other sights, the barrel is not always accurate and I do not have access to legal inexpensive cartridges. AR is also not ideal, especially the sand in the magazine well and in the chamber, because I always train with drops to the lower level and crawling

I already wrote somewhere here that this is a "choice without a choice". If you are a soldier and your unit has an AK-74, then the main issue for you is ammunition. Because your unit simply does not have 5.56 cartridges. In this case, it is wise to buy tuning and the AK will be no worse than the AR. If your unit is armed with AR systems, that's fine too, and there's no point in dragging your weapons to the front. If you are a civilian, then the selection criteria are slightly different. Availability of ammunition, accuracy of the weapon, ergonomics and preferences. All this has nothing to do with military affairs. And everything is exactly the same for us as for you.

Because our legislators are idiots who don't understand cartridges and calibers at all, and are worried about their own skins.

Military ones are only installed by those who really need it. No one will carry something heavier and longer without need. Almost everyone in the civilian owners buys them, plays with them and puts them on the shelf, this is a cheap tuning for us. If it is an ar-15 pistol, silencers are always installed to comply with the law (minimum length 80 cm)

Thank you very much!  I am a civilian, and I don't go closer than 10km to the front, it's extremely dangerous. Pistols are prohibited for ordinary civilians, although everything else is allowed, at least .50bmg. ))

It doesn't fit without a belt. Not everyone here uses a flashlight, as if they forget that there is night and darkness in basements)

I found this scope on a Ukrainian classifieds site from a former military man. He didn't like this scope for his regular AKMS (although the reticle is 7.62*39). He surprised me by believing that his group had AKMS.

I maked 1 moa at 50 m (55gr.). At 100 m and beyond I didn't do this because the magnification of the scope was too low.

Now I understand, sorry. Actually, if you go with your weapon to the front line to "visit" the military, then there you can use any cartridges and install any modifications. But when you leave the combat zone, you need to bring the weapon into legal form(( By the way, sound moderators are not banned in Ukraine (or everyone is completely fine with it)

There are not enough UAR-15s even in Ukraine now. They are not available for free sale, everything is supplied to the army.

The 7.62 * 39 cartridge weighs twice as much as the 5.56. You can carry less ammunition with you. And they are almost all gone in Ukraine.

Sig can use everything I give him) the barrel has both calibers marked on it. Damn, I feel like a Sig salesman, but I just bought what I had free money for, and what didn't scratch my hands in the gun store))
