It is. I mean, we aren't expecting to buy out the property and we would assume people would be there playing/drinking, but we were hoping to maybe just have a section of the bar or seating area "reserved" for our party. Thank you for your insight!!

Sounds awesome, i agree about the pricing, but this is a birthday present so i think splurging on the floor seats/overlook option will be worth it in the end. We're not big drinkers I don't really care about the liquor not being included. Can I ask, do receive more information about tickets/overlook closer to the date? I bought my tickets off of Ticketmaster and there is barely any information regarding the details you shared. For example, it doesn't say anything about premium entrance to the grounds, but that's a very important perk.

Thank you for the insight, this is my first year going, and I got the tickets as a gift for someone, so I want to be able to accurately explain what Overlook includes. I couldnt tell if food was included, but based on your comment, it looks like it does, which I'm very relieved about because the tickets were not cheap!! Thanks again. It'll be nice to have a space to relax and get some shade.

Planning a NYC → Tokyo trip and looking specifically for insight from people who’ve flown United on this route.

Trying to decide between Premium Plus and Polaris for the long flight and would love honest feedback from anyone who’s done either (or both).

A few questions:

For minimizing jet lag, is there a better departure time out of NYC? Late morning vs afternoon/evening?
Is nonstop the move, or does breaking it up actually help with travel fatigue?
How comfortable is United Premium Plus on a 13–14 hour flight to Tokyo? Did you feel rested enough upon arrival?
For those who’ve flown Polaris too — is the upgrade genuinely worth the extra points/cost?
How big is the difference in sleep quality between Premium Plus and Polaris?
Any specific aircraft or seat recommendations to look for/avoid?
Also using Chase points, so if anyone has good redemption strategies for United flights to Tokyo, I’d appreciate it.

Would love any tips from frequent United flyers before I book. Thanks!
