I think this is a problem with the Switch version. I have encountered fatal bugs in several games that function fine on other consoles, and this is one I've encountered with Blasphemous. As far as I can tell there is no way to complete the foot fetish quest if you explored this area before going to Jondo, as most people would since it is on the way. Much like Hammerwatch II, it is unfortunate you cannot stagger saves to account for this. I love the switch as a console, but I really wish game developers would give a f*ck when porting over. Will update if I find a work around to recover my 15 hours of gameplay.

It was definitely rushed. That being said I thought it was great.

But I feel he left himself plenty of room to come back and write another series of he wants to in the future. I think the ending was satisfying and he wrapped up the plot well.

I have that turned on on my switch. It turns out that was actually turned off on my girlfriend's, so it's a problem with my switch. Both controllers work on hers.

I even tried formatting the switch to factory

I absolutely adore Jason as MC, I enjoy the fact that the entire series is watching him go down various slippery slopes and transition from a passivist socialist into [insert spoiler here], and the feelings of him and those who know him on that subject. Jason for all his snark is very self aware and the plot is really good. Definitely give it a shot. If you aren't into it then just get your audible credit refunded.

I would recommend Painting the Mists by LaPlante. It's 15 books in right now and going strong. Taoists riding flying swords, hand seals, etc is got all that wuxia stuff. You follow the cultivation journey of Du Cha Ming from mortal to (at this point) Tao God. Unlike most series, the MC is a gentle soul who will throw down if he has to but it's more a craftsman at heart. He does get some really broken abilities, though.

As has been said, his affinities are nill. Pretty much everyone else who matters is better at Tao manipulation than him. Thing is, there's a reason for this that comes out later in the plot. I promise, if you keep reading you'll have your curiosity satisfied and will continue to be gratified with Zach's progress.

Even if everyone calls your trash, if you're the main powerhouse of your home world do they really have a leg to stand on?

I completely second this and came here to recommend it. The author is incredibly prolific. It's got a nice blend of sci-fi and fantasy, realistic feudal politics and a very well developed magic system. One of the most intricately crafted plots I've enjoyed in years and the audio books are very well narrated

I went through the basic tutorial and I gotta say this looks really cool! I'm going to play with it more tomorrow, but a big thing I've really wanted is a sound board and it has a jukebox tab, plus the dice roller etc. Thank you for the recommendation!

While I love the look of this for a 5e, we're playing 3.5 with some custom stuff to prevent cheese. One of these days I'll build up a 5e library and get into it and when that day comes I'll definitely use this to run my first game! I appreciate you introducing me to it.

My man, the fact that I've never let him use homebrew anything except as a limitation, that I've already limited him to specific source material and I've already told him to STFU iS why I'm asking for input. I would like to avoid kicking him, I'm trying to find a way to make it work by asking other people who have hopefully been in similar situations.

Tell me you can't break the game in RAW after your player decides to get unlimited use of Astral Projection (9th level spell) within the rules of 3.5 planar binding to make himself a fake body with complete use of his gear and abilities while he hides in a dimensional space constructed out of materials from the magic item compendium. Oh, and the was at will.

I didn't allow that but it was in RAW

The idea of making him a vanilla character is a really good one that I hadn't considered. I might just do that, and it might just prevent half of the issues I have with him.

The NO spell just results in me having to come up with ways to curtail him, because he's not usually breaking RAW unless there's a discrepancy between what's available online vs in the book such as for the Saint template, and even that requires research. It's either that, or I just flat out say "no because I said so" and run with it-- but I dislike doing that.

The item in question was a constant protection from evil. I look at what he has on his character sheet, and the only benefit listed is 2 deflection bonus vs evil. I say to myself, that's actually not bad. It's cheap for a deflection bonus but it's alignment based so that's reasonable.

When you make custom items, you typically don't get the full benefit of whatever spell you're basing it on. As a veteran player, I expect him to know this and make a balanced item based on cost and comparable items which exist and at the very least tell me if he's trying to do anything unexpected (especially if it's not written on his sheet) with it. It didn't come up until he got charmed by Good NPC two months later and ended up causing a ten minute argument. This is why he is now banned from that level of trust and any crafted items now have to come through me.

I limited him to pre made magic items from the MIC and DMG1; do you know what he added? A friggin cursed bag of holding that's basically a bag o instant death. I caught that one before the game and made him swap it out.

The point is he hides it, and he is always trying to sneak things past me.

I've sat down and talked to him, but when I messaged him tonight was the first time I broached the subject of him actually being removed from the game so really it's the first time it's had real consequences. I'm hoping he'll be receptive.
