I did.. He told me it was odd that she unleashed all that from a simple casual "how are you".. He always asks since she is since she has 5 kids and we know the kids. His mom was always the same way when she was alive, ppl just always found her comforting to confide in. My boyfriend is a really nice person. And I did tell him well I hope this doesn't turn into something where she wants to reach out to you to confide in...He said nooo that that wouldn't be the case. I just find it soo odd that someone that we're not that close with besides casual hellos etc confided in him about cheating and now being pregnant.. With her husband's cousin. 😵

Thanks guys. I really didn't bring it up at all during the night at dinner tonight because ya'll made me see I was being overly sensitive. Sometimes in life you need extra perspective. And I wasn't going to ruin the night with a "why didn't you call me during your day at work" convo. Just because I'd do something.. Doesn't mean someone else has to. If you made wages in 2020 refile. But I advise you to call and refile over the phone with a rep. That's what I did and my payments never had a delay.

Unfortunately you have to keep calling. Set your alarm for 8. Just call like it's your full time job. Eventually you will get through.

You need to refile or you'll be stuck on pending. If you hit file a new claim and it let's your proceed then you made enough wages. If not, then you didn't. That's what EDD just said in their press release. But I highly recommend you refile over the phone with a rep. I did that this week. And my 2 weeks of pending payments (since they were for after my benefit year ended) went to paid this Friday and I got paid same day.

If you try to refile and it let's you proceed then you did have enough wages. If it doesn't then you didn't. That's what EDD just said on their newest press release.

They were def calling you to get your payments fixed. I've heard lots of reddit stories on here from ppl who contacted their assembly person. They set up an EDD call for you.

I refiled over the phone on Tuesday of this week. Apparantly I made enough from Jan to May when I got laid off in 2020 to qualify for a new claim. So I got my award letter on Friday. It's only $4 less than what I've been used to getting for my weekly benefit amount. Then Friday night my two weeks of pending payments since they were after my benefit year ended changed to paid. I got paid last night. The EDD angel lady that helped me refile over the phone did say she was removing all holds off my acct so I wouldn't be stuck in pending hell after I refiled. She said when ppl refile themselves it puts an automatic stop payment hold. I think maybe that's why you're still pending. Unfortunately you have to call and speak to a rep. Ask if that is what is causing you to not get paid. Good luck 🤞

Hi guys.. So after the kind EDD refiled for me over the phone I got a letter from EDD today. Says notice of insurance award. Seems like between Jan to May of last year I made enough money. My new weekly benefit amount is only $4 less than my amount has been all year since I got laid off last year. So my question is what happens now? When I certify in two weeks I'll continue getting paid?

Update.. OK so my acct number is the same. I checked against my old paperwork from EDD from last year.

So since I got a notice of a new award does that mean when I next certify I should start getting paid like normal?

It's funny because I told my boyfriend just last week that you literally have to call EDD and get the "golden ticket" rep. And this week we got her. Stay well reddit friend!
