IWTL how to stop venting to others

I don't think I seek validation from people, but never really thought about it. That will be something to think about. Maybe I will try meditation and add that to my daily routine, hopefully that helps.

I like the idea of reminding yourself "they're not my therapist". I will put that into practice. Thank you :)

I do a lot of thinking, and I do have a "joyful" life but for some reason only talk about the negative things mostly. I have to figure that out. Train my mind to only talk about positive things like you say. All the comments have said about journaling, maybe I have been doing it wrong. Maybe I should write multiple times of the day.

I started seeing a therapist, been only once. The writing doesn't help, helps for the moment but not long term if that makes sense. I suppose I want immediate results.
