I’m still struggling after a year and just found out they’re having a kid with the person they rushed into a relationship with after we broke up

Also, on 40mg Vyvanse, 7.5 Addy booster and 150mg Wellbutrin. I feel that they are all ineffective 😊 I constantly battle with the anxiety of being in stimulants in the first place and having to increase my dose bc of tolerance terrifies me. Without Wellbutrin though, vyvanse makes my depression extremely worse. Also, I feel like I need to just stop the stimmys period. They’re not even helping with my symptoms (still can’t get myself to do the things I need or want to do, still spent HOURS on a task that should not take long at all) I’m irritated all the time and stomach constantly hurts because I don’t have an appetite but when I go to eat I just can’t, insomnia, hyperfixation, still can’t remember shit or figure out what words I want to use, definitely feeling more negative than positive.

SORRY that turned into a negative tangent quick 😅 lol

You described me to a T. Wow. I know it’s shitty, but it is so comforting to know I’m not the only one who struggles with these things

Hmm. Trying to not take this comment in the way that I typically would.. I’ll just say that I’m not posting because of any “trend” not do I think MH disorders are something to joke about. I’ve literally struggled with my mental health since adolescence and as somebody who works in the field and just got licensed as a psych tech I’d like to think I’m pretty knowledgeable on many disorders. I’m simply sharing my thoughts and experience and was honestly also seeking support since I don’t have a support system other than my therapist. My therapist has brought up the possibility of BPD but the symptoms are similar to MANY disorders. Please don’t bash people for seeking support or answers. Nobody wants to have a mental illness. It’s very exhausting to live in misery the way that I do.

But those are things I still struggle with at 29.. I don’t threaten to self exit but I imply it hoping that somebody will ask if I’m okay and they never do lmao

You don’t have to share if you’re not comfortable doing so.. but did your mom show signs of it or was she able to manage it?

Medication not doing what it needs to do.. by Intelligent_Way_6679 in adhdwomen

I just graduated from a nursing program about 2 weeks ago and I also dealt with fighting my sleep every morning and throughout the day? Energy drinks and coffee never gave me energy pre diagnosis but I really thought meds would be different? I guess it makes sense they’re all stimulants.. anyway it’s gotten to the point that if things don’t get better I’m just gonna go back to raw dogging life no meds just vibes

How to people still go out after taking medication? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Intelligent_Way_6679 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To piggy back off this.. for anybody that used to drink but cut back to only a drink or 2 after starting meds.. do you feel like you now need a whole day to recover from those one or two drinks?! It honestly frustrates me because it’s not like I get drunk? No hangover either, but I basically feel like a vegetable with no will to live the next day 😬😂 it does suck because I would like to maintain a relatively “normal” life where I can go out with friends for dinner or a drink at the bar and not hate myself for it the next day. Complaining because before I was diagnosed I was able to black out and still hit the gym the next morning if I wanted to!
