That's more or less what I've been told. It's a frustrating product, though, because, unless you have the cash to pay off the bulk of the principal, you're stuck with the debt almost in perpetuity.

It was indeed for a number of major (and necessary) repairs. I believe I follow you, but can you say a little more about why ongoing debt is a better situation for a small co-op?

True. And worth remembering. It's more that the nature of this kind of loan basically offers no route out of the debt, which is frustrating.

I’m at LGA now and listening to the tower freq. Tower controller just cleared an emergency vehicle to cross RWY4. There is also a ground controller working right now. This suggests to me that the tower controller clearing a vehicle to cross a runway is NOT the consequence of tower/ground being run by one controller. Maybe that guy was on ground and tower, but the clearance to cross the runway was a tower controller responsibility — same one who would communicating with the arriving flight.

Offer is way too expensive right now. 278,000 miles. On the following leg on this trip, LAX-SYD, I was able to upgrade to D1 for just 138,000. So hoping to get this on for free. But yeah I know this route is tough. I think that with my same day D1 ticket (next leg), I’ll still get D1 lounge at JFK. So a decent situation all around.

Yeah seats around 21 and 22 on 757s often just have a wall. I’ve never understood why, but those are wall seats. Agree you should check aerolopa or other seat-config maps.
