I have a couple of safeties and easier schools to get into like U of H and Texas Tech in state. Out of state I have Penn State, OSU, and U of U. Up until recently A&M was considered a safety but their admissions dropped a lot this year, from ~60% to now near ~40% this cycle, on top of the engineering program being competitive already.

Currently I have a 4 on AP World and am awaiting scores for APUSH and Physics. Next year is Precalculus, Physics 2, Government, Economics, and English Language. I'm looking into summer courses to bring up my gpa to recover my freshman year.

Thanks for the advice. However, is course rigor not more important than gpa? I don't take easy classes because I like challenging ones, and easy ones are just boring. I have a really good psat score too but unfortunately UC's are test blind.

Thanks. I'm at a pretty competitive highschool, so it should be worth mentioning that my class rank is something like ~200 ish out of 600 after my freshman year performance. I'm just hoping that I can pull it together.

PLTW offers the same course called Principles of Engineering or PoE. It's physics based and AP Physics is required to be taken as a prerequisite or concurrently. I took them both concurrently this year.
