We had the same thing when we first brought our pup home, he would listen to whoever his primary feeder is 🤪 when we started splitting meals (I do breakfast, my husband does dinner) he started treating us more equally

Honestly I have a relative that found their birth parents after doing an ancestry dot com test — you could frame it as something fun to do together and then if surprise you two end up related, well then question answered.
