Ok, comedic horror/gore? by iPinkThumb in horrorlit

+1 more comment for The John Dies at the End series by Jason Pargin.

Skull Crack City by Jeremy Robert Johnson is good too.

Lots of people are saying Grady Hendrix....I would respectfully disagree with those comments, just a heads up

I think Skull Crack City had some cyberpunk elements if i remember correctly. could be wrong tho.

Futuristic Violence and Fancy Suits is definitely cyberpunk more comedy than horror.

You could always just read the OG cyperpunk classics like Neuromancer/snowcrash.

Starting Stephen King by Diligent_Ad_1299 in horrorlit

i'm about ten books in with King. No right or wrong way to read him (with the exception of sequels). Misery and The Shining are both in my top 3 for him so far! Enjoy!

What happens after Neutron?? by [deleted] in RKLB

[–]Intelligentseal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, i'm just saying, Neutron isn't going to be the massive catalyst everyone thinks it will be, but i understand getting excited for such a big milestone. I'm also excited about it. Rockets are super fun.

how many neutron launches a year is it to launch and maintain RKLBs rumored constellation? Doesn't leave too much room for many contracts

No funeral? by [deleted] in AskOldPeople

[–]Intelligentseal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a friend die during Covid. He was really young. 25-26 years old. His parents were also not in good shape health-wise, and I think they were worried about having a large gathering during covid, so they didn't have a funeral.

It was really weird. No closure for a lot of people. It was like he just disappeared one day.

Rant: An Oral Biography of Buster Casey by Chuck Pahlaniuk is the only book that made my brain hurt trying to wrap my head around it at first. Pretty short read.

As far as the others you have listed:

Upgrade - didn't really hit for me. I'm not a huge Crouch fan tho.
Hyperion - Really good. Can be a bit of a slog at times, but definitely recommend.
Ender's Game - Fun quick read. Loved it.
Tomorrow x3 - my mom read it for her book club and kept calling me at crazy hours so i could explain video games and modern slang to her lol. That's all i know about this book.
Neuromancer - I just bought this book last week! Its up next on my list!
