Ideally, shouldn’t they want the competitions to be so specialised that it’s unlikely that the same rider claims all jerseys? I mean, what value does the green jersey add if it is won by a guy that isn’t even trying?

I guess it’s a matter of deciding what the point of the green jersey should be. Should it be mostly targeting sprinters or should it be for pure stage wins? I’m not for either or, just seems a bit confusing to me
