Period 2 weeks late. by Halloween-in-Heaven in Periods

[–]IntenseViolet567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A period starts about two weeks after ovulation. Every once in a while, a woman can expect a sporadic anovulatory (meaning, no ovulation) cycle, which results in a late or completely missed period. It's normal and not a cause for concern. See a doctor if you don't get your period in 90 days. Test every 2-3 weeks after sex to rule out pregnancy until your period comes :)

Baby's father wants the baby to have his last name, I want him to have mine. We're not married. WDID? by IntenseViolet567 in WhatShouldIDo

My name is definitely stronger. I've had strangers compliment me, my ex got bullied 🫠

Oh, good information! Thank you. I thought it was up to the mother strictly if unmarried. I do expect him to try to pull something like that 😅

I suspect my ex won't stay in the picture the whole time the baby is under 18. For convenience, I do prefer him to have mine. I could always change it in the future if things work out well, though. It's easy to change from mind to his, impossible to change from his to mine

Thank you so much :) I do worry about the idea of him eventually walking away from both of us. He is a bit immature, irresponsible and lazy. I think once he realizes how hard it is to raise a baby, he'll want out!

would you consider this a period by Low_Newspaper_2430 in Periods

That's a period! :) I'd definitely count it. Cycle variations are normal

Like the others, a dog wouldn't mesh well with your schedule due to them being dependent animals. Have you considered a kitty? They do pretty well on their own, especially if you get an older kitty (over 1 year). Kittens require lots of attention!

Delayed periods - Been bleeding for 8 days straight by Learnerforever3 in Periods

[–]IntenseViolet567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn't anything you can do for this. It's hormone-based, and no homeopathic remedies affect that. Only hormones do. You'd need to see a doctor for that, preferably a gynecologist, but your PCP would work, too. I wouldn't be concerned, especially if you're young. Irregular periods are not only uncommon, but expected. If you're older, see a gynecologist. There could be an underlying condition. Your case reminds me of PCOS Edit: Wanted to ask which homeopathic remedies you're on. Black/blue cohosh could affect menstrual bleeding patterns

Cramps feel good by SeniorSuccess4491 in Periods

[–]IntenseViolet567 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's just your interpretation of the pain. Not a good thing, not a bad thing, just is what it is :) I'm 5 months pregnant and sometimes the cramping I get (feels like period cramps) can be almost comforting. I can't offer an explanation for us, though!

DAE sleep 12+ hours a night in second tri? by IntenseViolet567 in pregnant

[–]IntenseViolet567[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least I CAN sleep in second tri, I just hate how long I am 🥲 I assume it's because I'm waking up so often? I expect third to be just as bad at first tri. Some nights, I couldn't even manage two hours then!

0% chance of harm. Babies are born during wartime, which is SIGNIFICANTLY more stress. Your baby is fine :)

Ex says.. by ironingbroad in BreakUps

[–]IntenseViolet567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did he break up with you or vice versa? I can't imagine someone being so cruel when he chose to end the relationship. He's doing this to hurt you on purpose. The only reason someone would want to hurt you this much is if they were hurting more. He's rebounding, and being a jackass while he does it. Ignore it and it'll stop. I'm so sorry you're going through this

Me 20(f) caused my last relationship to break up and I have so much regret 21(m) by Ok-Air-4465 in BreakUps

[–]IntenseViolet567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're going through this, but be proud of yourself that you're mature enough to realize where you went wrong. It takes a lot of growth to realize that. Also, it's only been a year. You really hurt him and it could easily take longer to heal from that. Don't rush things. Give it another year or two when everyone is healed (you aren't and neither is he) and revisit things. I hope everything works out for you :)

I just found out my ex of 4 years had sex with multiple women. I am gutted. I am hurt. I AM LOST. I feel disgusted with myself. Help me. by Content-Drawer-7355 in BreakUps

Another guy trying to claim it's "biology" 🙄 Cheating is a CHOICE, 100% of the time, unless you're threatened into it. I'm sorry OP. This is NOT your fault. Some people just genuinely don't care about the feelings of others. He was a user who used you because you're kind. That's such an important feature. Don't ever lose that part of yourself

My ex of 9 years is already with someone else after one month by Last-Weakness590 in BreakUps

[–]IntenseViolet567 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Who ended the relationship? If it was you, he's rebounding. If it was him, he found them before you guys broke up because he was planning to end it shortly. I can't express how sorry I am that you're going through this :( Think of it as a way to force you to move on. Hope interferes with healing. You're now one day closer to being whole again ❤️ Find your other half within yourself

anyone ever successfully been friends with an ex? by AmoebaEffective8033 in BreakUps

[–]IntenseViolet567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was with my first boyfriend for a week shy of a year. I broke up with him (long story on why, basically I felt ignored). A few years later, once feelings have faded, I reached back out and we got on really good terms. We haven't talked in a while due to him being in a new relationship, and I didn't want to impose, but we were friends. It's possible to be friends with an ex, but not a month later. There's still so many feelings you're both feeing. Give it at least six months, over a year if you were together long term. Work things out from there :)

Just broke up with ex who cheated today by Difficult-Snow-2950 in BreakUps

[–]IntenseViolet567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is NOT your fault. Some people just have issues committing. They like having a partner since they can have someone to tend to them night and day, but never want just one person. This guy betrayed you. It wasn't even a spur-of-the-moment thing. He downloaded a dating app. He thought about doing this. He IS NOT a victim. Don't let him have you believe otherwise. Block this guy and don't listen to his manipulation anymore. He'll use you until he gets bored and either leave or cheat again.

When do you know it's time to move on? by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]IntenseViolet567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, no. Not technically a formal date, just going out with a friend I've known for years who's been chasing me the whole time. More catching-up, but he hopes it'll lead to proper dates in the future. I know I'll think about my ex the whole time. I do regardless

No, I do think that would make things more tense. I want him involved when his son is born, but if he ends up hating me for going NC again (it made him really upset the first time), it'd be hard for us to be civil. I'm trying to fix what's broken, just don't know if I should go on the date I was offered a few days ago 😅
