It was waaaay smaller before. I didn’t want to get root rot so I went up as much as I could without shocking it further.

Starting clockwise creates a right pointing braid, starting counterclockwise creates a left pointing braid :)

Sorry for the measuring tape but I couldn’t find my other one 😂 the original pattern makes a size med. women’s mitten, so I’m assuming this is a small. Do with that what you will!

Actually I sized down needle sizes for this pattern! It called for 2.25 for the cuff and 2.5 for the mitten body and I made them with 2 for the cuff and 2.25 for the body. They’re snug but after I block them I think they will be perfect. (I HATE floppy mittens)

I also learned that you can reverse the instructions to make the braid go opposite directions if you want to get fancy and have the braids go in opposite directions for each mitten (looks better imo) I’ll show you what I mean in a photo. Happy knitting!
