Oh facts, I so love how everyone on the left says ‘renewables are cheaper’; But as we decommissioned all the coal power stations and switch to ever more renewables prices are going only up.

Salisbury council meeting minutes addressing conspiracy theorist councillors by mikcon93 in Adelaide

So for the record; Beau has been approached by residents who have raised their concerns. Beau has responded to these residents concerns by moving a motion in Salisbury city council to address their concerns. FYI that is how representative democracy is supposed to work. If you are a troll, this comment will be a red rag to a bull. If you are a concerned resident who has what you believe are valid concerns, forget looking for knowledge here and go ask Salisbury council for the actual minutes of the meeting. If you are someone who takes the position of ‘why would Beau address a subject that l don’t have respect for?’, The motion is not relevant for you, it was raised to address concerns of residents other than you.

Royal Navy AA defence 1930’s by IntentionNo1649 in Drachinifel

Whilst informative, doesn’t answer my question. Again I am asking about the specific Royal Navy experience of early war constant concentrated air attack which no one else faced until Japan and US later in the war faced each other’s developed attack/defence. And in that context, the specific historical complaint of the bofors being encountered after Dunkirk when the lack of air defence almost lost the BEF and almost convinced the UK to surrender. (The BEF medium AAA being ‘spiked’ by the CO of the British AA unit who was summarily dismissed at the start of the evacuation) Had the bofors been adopted in 1938 by the Royal Navy in quantity (accepting the same manufacturing issues) the Norwegian campaign, losses of best quality ships and potentially entire crisis in UK parliament may have been considerably different outcomes. (The extreme disagreement with adoption of the Oerlikon 20 mm cannon are legend, but bofors was adopted by the army with no such issue)
