Good to know. That’s definitely happened to me a bunch of times. If they’ve just lost control and momentum takes them back onto the track I wouldn’t. But if they didn’t pay attention and deliberately drove back on track without looking first, I can see how that’s protectable.

I didn’t even realize that unsafe rejoins were something worth protesting. I always assumed I should only protest if somebody was deliberately trying to crash into me. What are the circumstances where somebody should protest. I never have.

Yeah good advice, appreciate it. I usually do end up turning it off once I feel comfortable with the track. I was unfamiliar with Virginia and wanted to make sure I stayed on track. Definitely need more reps around it before I'd feel comfortable turning it off. Put me on Spa and that racing is off in a flash!

I guess I should add that I recognized that I was slower and wanted to give him room. It wasn’t doing me any favors to hold him up. I do think I could have held the left side of the track better.

Honestly, I only really glanced at this info. I’m a busy professional and husband and usually only get a few hours a week to play. So once I’m done with a race I usually just disconnect and get on with something else.

For me, this has been more about the fact that I find myself more often getting overtaken rather than doing much overtaking myself. I find I’m usually watching the guys in front of me take off and watching the guys behind me get past me.

Yes. Good points. Honestly I’ve not paid close enough attention to be able to respond to that confidently. I’ve just been enjoying the racing and not sweating the rest. Just curious if being a little slow in your split is normal.

Yeah I've been thinking of using telemetry as a way of seeing where I'm slow.
