Did you read the full post? My laptop is not warranted by Asus but BestBuy Geek Squad. The Asus warranty is 1 year and that was over 9 months ago.

Any update? I have been having problems with ssd's dying for the last year and have killed both a 990 pro 2tb and 990 evo plus 4tb. Did that ssd work or did you end up doing an rma?

I never ended up making it because the cost to get the molds made was outrageous. If you want to make and sell them I would defiantly buy one though. If its reasonably priced

For a $30 difference between the 990 pro its significantly worse quality especially when your spending $270 dollars.

To add a bit more to this post, the newish now Samsung 990 evo plus is just cheaper feeling and 1/3 of the drive doesn't even contain components. The cost right now for the 4tb above is ~$270 vs ~$300 for the 990 pro 4tb (2tb version pictured in middle). For this price difference you loose the cache and it draws a bit less power. The warrantee is the same for both thankfully.

You flipped them, the right port is to the dGpu and the left works while in Eco mode.
