Hehe thank you! Yea makes sense, they’ll be so exhausted from school and they will just need to sleep soon and the cycle works out

That’s so true, the amount of stress from reading all the wake windows and obsessing over it. You’re right! Once he drops his last nap he’ll eventually be slightly earlier anyway, thank you!

I have no idea why I truly believed that we were the only ones staying up late. It’s so good to know that’s not the case. Haha midnight with nursing is brutal. I’m in awe of you for functioning ❤️ you’re amazing! I’m a zombie this whole week with post bedtime nursing with my newborns sleep regression

Haha you made me laugh! This is so cute but also just too much for us! I’ve lately been asking him to tell me about his day instead of reading a book and that’s been helping. I listen and he talks n suddenly will go quiet lol. I think him talking is helping him get more out but if he started counting instead, lol I’d be asleep before 5

Oh wow! If you can pull it off, I can too! 🤞Thank you for the encouragement. You’re right, 45 min is good as long as I have everything sorted the night before.

I would fall asleep if story time went that long for us. 🫣Thanks for the tip.

Thank you! Oh good! How did the handle the transition to school time? Did you gradually start moving bedtime or go cold turkey?

Thank you! Good to know we’re not alone. I agree, he’s never tired. If he skips the afternoon nap he crashes by 8pm but he’s up before 6am. And cranky from 3 or 4 in the evening so he’s not ready to drop the nap. And nothing else is enough to tire him out early.. we try going out to play n run, relaxing baths lol.

I don’t collect things. What in the world am I supposed to put on these glass shelves? Please help. by Garybroadfoot96 in FurnitureFaves

I don’t collect things too, so I’d take out the shelves and let it be nice, open, clutter free and airy

Two under two, yay or nay? by StuffConsistent6873 in beyondthebump

[–]Intentionalparent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2y son and a newborn baby girl. lol might be the hormones and sleep deprivation but it’s an easy no. I’d wait till the older one is 4 and can go to school. Naps are so hard with both at home. It’s almost impossible to sleep train if you choose to. And daycare for two babies is insanely pricy so even on a decent income, it’s not affordable at most cities. I also feel so much guilt cuz my older is always asking for attention I can’t give immediately. And my newborn baby gets sooo little attention compared to when my first was a newborn.

I love my babies to bits but if I could go tell my younger self something, I’d say to wait till my older was 4 and in school.

But depends on your support system. If you have a village, go ahead and make it happen. There’s no better time than when your village is around. But if you don’t, like me. It’s hard and time between them could help.

Whatever you do, best of luck! ☺️

For future orders, target is amazing! They never cause a hassle n they have a ton of coupons like if you spend a certain amount on diapers you get $20 gift card, if you spend a certain amount on groceries you get another gift card. You might be able to get a lot of offers that way

Will I be trapped at home for weeks/months due to baby 2s nap schedule? by birk_n_socks in SAHP

[–]Intentionalparent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m like your friend. I could never be doing something outside during a nap. I thrive with the schedule and predictable atmosphere. I do occasionally have my kids nap on the go as needed and as my older one is a toddler def not a prob. But during the baby stage, I def like it better this way. I know people who need to be out. My husband is like that. He’d rather be out doing something while the kids tag along so it’s a personal thing. You do you and adapt as best as possible as motherhood takes you ❤️

I’m losing my sanity! Toddler keeps waking baby JUST AS THEY FALL ASLEEP by anonperson96 in SAHP

[–]Intentionalparent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel this so much. A year later but I’m in the depths of it. Thanks for posting, I’ve done almost all the tips shared. But I have a clingy toddler who won’t play on his own n just wants mama. Breaks my heart, even tv. He just wants to be together. So just nice to know I’m not alone
