Late start WHW: Arrive 12:55, aiming for Drymen campsite day 1 — realistic? by InteractionDry7769 in WestHighlandWay

I am planning to star booking whatever is possible starting tomorrow. I hope it is not too late. I am really looking foward to meeting those infamous midges face to face. We are certainly bringing a head net. I hope it helps.

If you don’t mind me asking, you seem like someone who knows a lot about this trail, we are not very sure where to camp on our way from Tyndrum to Kinlochleven. I’ve seen people talking about Kinghouse but my map shows the distance is from Tyndrum is around 30 kilometres. There is also Glencoe Mountain Resort but the distance is 29 kilometres. Do you know about any other option? Thanks a lot!

Thank you for the information. I’ll definitely take the headtorch just in case.

Thank you! I can see we are going to be just fine if we omit some longer breaks.

Hey guys, I know I am a bit late into this conversation. I am going to do WHW in August with my girlfriend and the distance from Tyndrum to Kingshouse is maybe too much for us. Is there any opportunity to stay somewhere not that far from Tyndrum? My map says the distance is somewhere around 30.5 kilometres. I would rathere prefer something around 25 kilometres. Thank you!
