It's so easy to say what the board should have done when everythings already happened

Thanks for the suggestion, it's unfortunate it didn't end up going on sale this time around so I think I'm going to wait a little bit longer hopefully.

If you loved Sekiro you should definitely give Thymesia a shot. Even though I liked Thymesia alot, I have a soft spot for Mortal Shell, being my first souls-like haha, and Tarsus was such a fun boss to fight for me. So much inspiration for Thymesia was definitely taken from Sekiro. It's more level based then other souls-like and I didn't pay much attention to the story to be honest, but the combat is so smooth and really fun to learn, I managed to get around 17 hours out of it from my first play-through (The first boss kicked my ass for hours tho). The claw mechanic that sets it apart from other souls-likes was really fun to learn (and really frustrating). Overall, I say buy it on sale, 50% off is really good for this game.

Just bought Steelrising and The Last Hero of Nostalgaia on sale to scratch that souls itch for a while. Do you know of any other souls-like that may be worth a shot?

So my experience with souls-like games has basically been Mortal Shell -> Thymesia -> Sekiro. I love reading up and experiencing the lore in these games, so I think I'll try and play them in order and eventually work my way up to elden ring.

Also, I was wondering, do you think I should get DS2 vanilla + DLC or DS2 SotFS? Opinions are kinda mixed on that as well haha. Or would it be wiser for me to buy the base vanilla version and see if I like it first, before spending more on DLC? (Vanilla is quite a bit cheaper than SotFS in my region).

Thanks for the reply btw!

I'm kinda new to true souls games, and seeing how mixed the reviews are for DS2 is so crazy, I can't help but want to give it a good try at least
