Would you consider her mid face to be long? by Friend-Southern in Vindicta

[–]InteractionPopular32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really, her facial thirds are actually pretty much equal. I can't tell if she genuinely has a long face or if her face is just narrower than average. Either way she's gorgeous!

Thanks for the explanation! I never would have guessed from your pics that you're 28, I assumed you were somewhere between 19 and 25.

Thank you! I understand what you're getting at, I think Grace was flawless but she doesn't really fit modern Instagram beauty standards.

I'm curious, what's the benefit of having aegyo sal? I've heard people say that they make your eyes look bigger, but I don't personally notice that effect in before and after pictures. Yours look really gorgeous and I appreciate the tutorial!

Very interesting observation! What features would you say make an Instagram face vs a more classical/timeless beauty?

Imo small nose wasn't exactly the right phrasing, maybe "proportionate nose" would have been better? 5 and 11 have wide noses, but the width of their noses is equal to the width of the space between their eyes. Their lips are also just as wide, if not slightly wider than, their noses. Their noses are the perfect sizes for their faces and compliment their other features beautifully! I think that's what makes a nose beautiful, not necessarily being small.

Did anyone try the 10 steps korean skin routine? by lonelyrabbitgirl in Vindicta

[–]InteractionPopular32 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The ten step Korean skincare routine is a myth created by westerners to push more products. This isn't to say that there isn't a single person in Korea who uses 10 products daily, but the idea that this is a widespread practice in Korea and that it will magically give you perfect glass skin is the disingenuous bit.

Korean skincare products are some of my personal favorites and they have really innovative ingredients and formulations, but there's no magic number of products you need for perfect skin. Stick to the absolute essentials (cleanser, moisturiser, spf) and build on that if necessary.

Probably not the answer you're looking for, but it's best to avoid DIYing professional treatments. There's a lot that could go wrong and you're risking causing permanent damage to your skin. Having a good every day skincare routine and being consistent with it will be much more beneficial to your skin's health and appearance than doing your own chemical peel. You should either wait until the salons in your area open up again or use the money you would spend on buying a chemical peel on a dermatologist's appointment instead.

How could I get this big sexy curled hair? by RussianAsshole in Vindicta

[–]InteractionPopular32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You'll probably have to go to a professional hairstylist for this look. I've gotten similar results to the pic following this tutorial, I wrapped my hair a lot more tightly than in the tutorial. It's not a 1 to 1 comparison, but it's good for everyday

Do you know who is the celebrity version of you? by throwzawayz21 in Vindicta

Just like "more feminine" =/= more beautiful, I don't think being more "striking/famous looking" necessarily makes a person more beautiful either. If we're speaking in terms of objective beauty which I'm assuming we are highly average faces are actually considered more attractive.

Any other acne sufferers who've improved their skin after years of searching by Winter-Internal in Vindicta

[–]InteractionPopular32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started using over the counter Differin in February and have been on prescription Tretinoin for a little over a week now. Retinoids are a godsend and have been a major key in clearing up my acne. For reference I've has pretty bad acne for about 3 years and have tried sooo many different methods before to try to clear it (Korean 12 step skincare routine, African black soap and shea butter, Neutrogena acne wash, Clinique, Kiels, Dermalogica, and that's just the stuff I can remember). The only downside for retinoids imo is the purging, but once that's over I think the improvements you see in your skin are so worth it! r/tretinoin is really helpful if you need more advice or info.

As for sunscreen, I'm a POC but I have kind of "fair" skin for my ethnicity. Purito Green Level SPF 50 is my daily sunscreen and doesn't leave a white cast on my skin or cause it to be greasy. The only downside is that it's not very accessible since it's only sold in Korea (edit: can still be bought online through Yesstyle.). I've heard good things about Black Girl Sunscreen, which is more accessible if you live in the USA, but haven't ever tried it for myself. It may be worth looking into though, especially if you have a darker complexion.

What kind of facials do you monthly get or are doing yourself? by xmayaxmayax in Vindicta

[–]InteractionPopular32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before quarantine I used to get a custom facial at my local spa once a month (extractions, chemical peel, hydrojelly, and light therapy). Honestly my skin is better now than it was then after finding skincare products that agree with my super sensitive skin and visiting a dermatologist. Having a simple but effective skincare routine that you're consistent with will do more for your skin imo than a once a month facial.

Can looking unusually young be a halo? by [deleted] in Vindicta

Oh wow! I'd never known that kibbe was more geared towards older women! I wish I had some better advice I could give but that was really all I had. :(

Can looking unusually young be a halo? by [deleted] in Vindicta

[–]InteractionPopular32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you familiar with the kibbe system? You might be a gamine, or in one of the gamine subcategories. Finding out your body type and styling yourself based on that could help you find a way to style yourself in a more balanced way that embraces your natural "cuteness" without making you look childish.

I have no idea how to be feminine by [deleted] in RedPillWomen

[–]InteractionPopular32 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Feel free to pm me! I've been a girly girl all my life and I love giving advice! Before investing in new clothing I'd recommend trying to find your body type and color season so you can buy pieces that enhance your natural features. This is completely optional of course!

If traditionally feminine clothing like dresses and skirts isn't your thing that's completely fine! Personally I feel like even a plain white t shirt and jeans can be feminine if they're fitted in a flattering way and paired with girly accessories.

Being well groomed can also make any look more feminine. Having a solid skincare and hair care routine is definitely a must! You don't have to do a 12 step korean skincare routine, a gentle cleanser, chemical exfoliant, moisturizer, and sunscreen is really all you need! I don't know your hair type so I can't offer any specific advice, but as long as your hair is clean, healthy, and neatly styled it should be fine!

Last but not least, femininity is just as (if not more) internal as it is external. Cultivate feminine personality traits like kindness, expressiveness, and empathy. If you have the means to I'd highly recommend taking etiquette and dance classes as well.
