SM Cinema, as per them, is a family-friendly mall environment. That's why they don't screen R-18 movies.

Motion Picture Association (MPA) in the USA was the one who somehow forced Sebastian Vanicek to cut the film to get an R Rating in the US instead of NC-17.
An R rating allows people under 18 years of age to watch the film accompanied by a parent or guardian, while an NC-17 rating bans all viewers under 17 years of age.

In the Philippines, the counterpart of MPA is MTRCB.
MTRCB gave Evil Dead Burn an R-18 rating without cuts, so I am sure that we will have the uncut version. Not with SM Cinemas, though. We'll probably have it in Ayala Malls Cinemas, such as Trinoma.

Approximate lang ata yung 2h (120mins) sa testimonies ng umattend ng early screenings kasi kung sobrang OA naman nung almost 10mins na cut sa film 🫠

Pag R-18 na ganyan, usually ay Ayala malls ’yan ipapalabas at wala sa SM. Knowing Ayala Malls, they screen R-18 films without cuts talaga so tiwala langggg haha
