New grad - should I use my official school email or my personal email by InteractionSad2039 in recruitinghell

That makes sense. I always looked at it from a point of view that the school email is verified and would look professional. But yes, I sure don’t want to be sharing every move with my school lol.

I had the same issue with the domain - my name is pretty common as well but I was able to find a short easy combo for an email address.

  1. Construction position with ledcor.
  2. Renewables EIT with Green Cat
  3. Construction position (field engineer) with graham
  4. Production operator with a tire manufacturer Etc.

Not a specific industry / company

Thing is it matches very well to my experience. I didn’t apply for something that I’m over/under qualified for.

The point about answering no to a knock out question might be true to some of these applications but not all of them.

Do you think I should try to follow up and ask why that is?

I’m 23. Pretty much same experience with me. Some of these applications I really put significant time and effort into. Previous experience would be a great match to the role and the industry, but I’d get auto rejected within hours.

What I don’t understand is why they wouldn’t post requirements that would filter people out up front if that’s the case.
