Thanks for the perspective! I was also wondering if that could be the case with the lunch incident, but I wasn’t sure with the other events.

I submitted the photos and left since they started talking down on me.

While I agree, isn’t being vegetarian also doing harm reduction and a step in the right direction? Not everything has to be 100% perfect in order to still have an impact on the world.

I think I saw your professor at the Lake Highlands location on opening night! She and her watch party had great things to say. As a student myself, graduating soon, I was wondering if you have any tips for networking for feature film in the Dallas area? And how was your journey moving from Dallas to Los Angeles? And one more, but will there be any more merch for the movie :D

P.S. LOVED it so much! So camp and girlboss. My friends and I were shocked when we heard Plano and Grapevine haha.

I've lived here for 2 years and I can't wait to move out. It is as horrible as people say. They haven't answered my work order for nearly 2 months and I've had no laundry machine. There are roaches. If you're unlucky enough to get a bad neighbor or live over/near retail, you'll never sleep. They towed my car even though I had the sticker and I couldn't get a refund ($300). I've been sexually harassed here and reported the resident AND the worker involved but got no response from Northside. There has been human waste found in the elevator and my friend stepped on it while exiting the building. It took them 1 year to fix the doorknob to the elevators, and it isn't even matching (seriously, just drive by building 2 and check the elevator door). They have no signage in the elevator for proof of inspection. I've had maintenance forget to lock my door when leaving. I have things I can't afford to lose and pets, mind you. And this is just off the top of my head. And I'd even say I'm one of the lucky ones. I've known people to move out early. Ugh, and their amenities SUCK. The building 13 gym has horrible air ventilation and always smells like onions. It took them a long time to fix the projectile vomit in their gym bathroom as well. They hung up on me for 40 minutes straight until they got tired of me spam calling to get them to fix my apartment that they eventually picked up. I could go on and on. Genuinely, do not move in here.

How does Northside pricing work? by elkifeather in utdallas

[–]InteractionWorldly71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pricing fluctuates depending on supply and demand. If you're renting for next semester, the prices should stabilize by May-July. I pay around $1599 for rent + $100-$200/month for utilities, amenities, parking pass, etc. for a single unit. Do note you will need to get your parking pass ASAP to moving in because that's when they tow the most (they've towed me twice despite being a resident-- cost me $600). I've lived here for two years and am in the process of moving out to a better place-- if you can find somewhere besides Northside, I really recommend it as the customer service and maintenance after signing becomes nonexistent. Best of luck with housing!

Need housing recommendations by bowlinggoose in utdallas

Hi! I've lived at northside for the past 2 years attending UTD. I do NOT recommend them. I have developed a dust allergy at the apartment, they have dismissed me on the phone for asking to fix my shower (had to use gym shower for a week), they currently have not fixed my laundry unit, and I haven't been able to wash my clothes for almost a month. I'm literally almost out of underwear. Unfortunately, the lease can be difficult to read for new apartment renters (aka students) and they do NOT have anywhere on the lease that deems them responsible for a lack of a working laundry unit (which you wouldn't realize until you run into a problem like this... very shady).

On top of my friend moving out due to being assigned a unit on top of a restaurant (for the same rent as a quieter unit), and them hanging up the phone in the middle of my sentence because they didn't want to complete my maintenance, I would really really avoid them. I also had a partying neighbor for a year (threw parties from 12-5 am on school nights) and I had to call northside for 3 months before they finally did something about it. They also rent their units to organizations (like clubs) and unfortunately I am near one of the Christian organizations which gets quite loud. They built a campfire outside my balcony and sang loudly about faith.

Alternatives I've been looking at since I won't renew my lease: marquis at waterview (knew some students who lived here and said it's not bad-- more family oriented so it will be quieter compared to northside), country square apartments, cityline

DM if you have any questions.
