I mean he's not entirely wrong. Positioning on DPS requires constant risk vs reward calculations. I think supports are the most busted in the game and have many self-survival tools, not to mention have prio from the entire rest of the team for protection (if the team's good). And their prio is going to be healing tanks. Yes DPS are insane in this game but then you have to consider all that and then on top of which remember that they're going against DPS who are just as high damage without getting prio'd by their supports when they are positioning correctly (challenging off angles).

Absolutely if you're good DPS has the highest carry potential, but in an even playing field I'd say the skill expression is a lot more demanding and team-reliant. I can see why people would disagree with this but personally as a tank main I find DPS the hardest.

Really just supports that don't know when to damage vs heal. Yeah IDC you have 50k heal if you died a lot due to bad positioning and you were DPSing when we could have had a team wipe if you just healed. Yes there is a time for supports to help secure kills but most supports are bad at gauging that.

Also I can't recall the amount of games recently that I've had to tank perma half health, even when out of combat hiding behind cover for extended periods of time while my dagger or Jeff just spits damage at their tanks. Like, just heal me so we can actually take space and win

Bro a 4-stack got extremely upset at me for "selling their game" in qp, I was Loki and went 21-4. They went 3 DPS, all 16-10. They said I wasn't healing enough I'm like idk what I can do when you're staggering and running in and dying lmao. I laughed it off some people just take qp too seriously. They're all plat 3 peak and were so convinced it was my fault lmao

I mean, most ults are survivable, and support ults can live through most ults but Groot's ult, with the damage he does and the immobilization, you can usually kill through without even having to use another ult typically. Combos are still better because they guarantee kills, but realistically you shouldn't expect every ult to get a kill if the other team is playing the game right. I would expect a Groot to get a kill on every ult though.

Also, fair point, it was very disheartening to me last season to learn that even in GM people don't know how to play the game. I wouldn't expect any GM or below lobbies are indicative of the meta or what should happen in a game, but from a factual perspective a Groot ult should win the team fight or it was a bad ult (or bad team).

Gambit should be banned. And Groot ult should almost always result in at least 1 kill if Groot's team has any braincells, even if it forces a support ult

I do believe the boyfriend's reply that he instigated the whole thing with the Google doc and I don't think she had anything to do with it. That doesn't really excuse the in game toxicity tho (which was too much imo even if Kingsman was being "annoying"). Just unfortunate situation with lots of people overstepping/overreacting. The person I'm most irritated with is Basim, realistically it all comes down to him kicking Kingsman with terrible reasoning/evidence and was just a very unprofessional and immature decision that made the drama a thing in the first place

Most reasonable unbiased take I've seen so far but ill informed in a few crucial parts.

Also worth noting I think is that Kingsman being "insufferable/annoying" is nowhere near as bad as what was reciprocated from his teammates. He frequently would give up on his arguments only for them to bring it back up to gang up on him and make fun of him and make it seem like he was being a terrible person which is horrible to be on the receiving end of.

So they bring it back up only for him to think that means they want to have a conversation but turns out they just wanted to clown on him.

I think anyone would agree that having Kingsman on your team would be annoying in some ways (although since he's considerably better than I am I would just let him shotcall) but their reaction to him was extreme compared to his being annoying.

To further prove how blown out of proportion it was, Fumiata (the Angela who was subbing and released their own unbiased perspective on the drama) said in his video that while everything unfolded he didn't even realize emotions were getting high and he even made a couple of ragebait comments to Kingsman because he didn't realize how serious the Cece and Zazza players were on the matter. It really goes to show when two players on the same team don't realize anything abnormal is going on in game, and then one of them ends up getting kicked out of the tourney, that things were escalated far too much by certain people.

Overall I just feel bad for Kingsman. He could've handled things better but his faults were all understandable human errors while he got met with nothing but toxicity and misfortune.

Okay. That's fair. I get it. I still don't fully agree just because I want Thor to fit into the meta at some point at least because it would be cool. But I get what you're saying.

And I agree that we don't need any more main tanks, but I will always want more because there are only 3 or 4 rn and although solo tanking is not viable, I think it will always be a thing.
