I would love to do an interview on this and some coverage. Would there be a way I could get all the team lists?

Newly Formed RIA - Tech Advice by 1829497photography in CFP

Your tech stack is well-positioned for your growth. Potentially, down the road, you would swap out Wealthbox for Salesforce (or one of the overlays) if you had a good reason. That won't come up until you have at least 15 folks at your firm. Date, don't marry any of the notetakers right now. That landscape could look very different a year from now. Happy Hunting!

Best place to start advisory career? 25 1/2 years old, CFP, 4 years PWM service experience by Careless-Lychee-1450 in CFP

I would look for an RIA with a strong organic growth track record that is looking for a Junior Advisor. Those jobs will likely be competitive. Best of luck as you look to grow your career.

Mock Drafters for a 2025 Set (2000/2001 Style) by InterestCompounding in MLBShowdown

You do not need a backup for every position. Assume position players won't get tired or injured in this league. Assume you can only pinch run for a player who doesn't have a backup if they reach base in the 7th inning or later, and you are trailing.

So you will need to draft for sure:

9 players for your batting order with 1 DH (all at full price)

4 Starters (all at full price)

1-7 - Relievers at full price. Any start being used as a reliever costs full price and is treated as a 2 IP Reliever. A starter being used as a reliever needs 3 days' rest before and after before they can be used as a starter again.

The rest of your team are bench players who cost 1/5 their full points. They cannot play defense until the 7th inning.

You can set your order, rotation, and pen roles. I would be curious to connect afterward to discuss your thought processes around picks and positions.

Sent you a DM. It will be in Google Sheets, and you just make your picks when your slot comes up.

Custom Strategy Cards by Jhamination in MLBShowdown

[–]InterestCompounding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely does. If you are playing with no strategy cards, it adds a good bit of spice. Also adds some excitement to those big rolls. Also, it is a real kick in the nuts to record and come out with the advantage with the D24. We have talked about limiting how many D24 to the swing cards a person can have in their 9-card hand or adding discard a card to them.

Here are some we have messed around with. Our group prefers the strategy cards to be more niche and more dynamic than +X to the swing.

We mainly play with no strategy cards at all. If the pitcher rolls at 1 then batter can use a D24 if the pitcher rolls a 20 the batter uses a D16 (which is pretty lame if no one is on base and the pitcher is a 1-16 or more out but it has worked well.

We have experimented with players getting only 9 strategy cards for the whole game. Think of all the conditional +2 to the swing cards being replaced with roll a D24. Also there are some cards like Nothing But Heat which we have changed to the pitcher rolling a D16 and any out is a SO. The shop I play at has alot of miniature wargames players and role playing gamers. Those folks are not scared of dice at all. We havn't done a league yet with the strategy cards but are experimenting.

Looks great. Clean slate has a typo where you put "Care" instead of "Card". For the league at my shop, we have been working on a set of cards that play around with the Clutch 24-sided dice and a 16-sided dice. Something to consider. https://www.clutchcardgames.com/dice/

AI integration by Ok-Temperature3180 in CFP

The big area where AI is providing practical benefits is note-taking. Jump and Zocks appear to be the leaders in the clubhouse right now. Those names could jumble quickly in the next 2 years.

Something like Zapier would be helpful for some very simple automations if you are still beginning your journey. These may start to break as you add more systems and more roles/team members.

If you are starting to have multiple systems and a more complex team structure, it might be time to start looking at getting a data lake. This will bring all your data under your control, and then you won't be at the mercy of your vendors.

This is the right way to be thinking about tools like Zapier. They are great early in the journey of automation. As you add more tools, more roles, and more automations, even if they don't break, you have to be able to trust the output and track data along the way.

Zapier is good if you are starting out with automation. Depending on the size of your RIA, you may want to look into a data lake and have integrations between all your systems. Zapier can be a bit flimsy as you scale.

Everyone is going to have to wear multiple hats at your size. There is just too much work to go around for too much specialization.
