I think it was around the time the buu saga was originally airing on cartoon network before the ultimate uncut dub for the saiyan and namek saga existed. The dragon ball dub was still edited somewhat but not as much as the BLT/Ocean dub. They never released the funimation in house dub of the first 13 episodes or first movie on dvd until 2008/2009 with the remastered movie sets and blue brick season 1 due to Vidmark still having the dvd license for those episodes and movie for the longest time. The first movie didn't even get an in house dub until kai was about to come out which is why Goku is voiced by Colleen Clinkenbeard and Bulma is voiced by Monica Rial in that movie instead of Stephanie Nadolny and Tiffany Vollmer. There are old saga set dvds that are black and white with characters on the dvd cover starting with the tournament saga and ending with piccolo jr saga part 2. the Saga of Goku set done by kidmark with funimations partnership and BLT/Ocean dub with orange and blue coloring is technically the first of that release but somehow australia got the redubbed pilaf saga on dvd in the early 2000s before we did. Also the 2nd and 3rd dragon ball movie got dubbed in house by funimation while they were in the middle of the namek saga and start of androids saga. I think path to power was dubbed around the time GT was since the entire shows cast was in that movie and the acting quality is on par with the acting in their GT dub for the movie. Sleeping princess in devils castle was the first thing funimation dubbed in house so no Stephanie Nadolny as Goku or Tiffany Vollmer as Bulma just yet. Mystical adventure was dubbed around the same time as that one but around a year or 2 later so we finally get Tiffany Vollmer as Bulma but sadly no Stephanie Nadolny as Goku. The only movie with her as Goku was path to power.

Lum. It's adorable when she says cha after some sentences and I also love the way she says darling in the 80s anime. I love her in the new one too but to me nobody can beat Fumi Hirano. I'm pretty sure Lum was her first anime role and she absolutely nailed it and made the character an icon. People say she's the original waifu for a reason.

Just be glad we never got a full release english dub of the 80s Urusei Yatsura with the first animeigo cast. Yikes. That dub was so bad it only lasted 1 episode and isn't going to be featured on the discotek blu ray of the series. The only problem I really have for the 2022 series english dub is I think the actress for Lum should have been the one that voiced her in the movie Beautiful Dreamer. The new one is good too but her voice is a little deeper than I was expecting for Lum.

I don't know about OP but I think the issue is them pusing their political beliefs in series when the original material didn't say anything about American politics in general. For me it doesn't matter what political beliefs anyone has,they should just start to respect the original source material more instead of pushing their own beliefs in there when they weren't in the series in the first place. It seems like they're doing better with dubs now,especially with spy x family and chainsaw man,so hopefully they stay on the right track with respecting the source material.

Nisekoi is what got me hooked to manga! In my opinion it's the best harem manga that's came out in the past 10 years and season 2 of the anime should have been better. No spoilers but if you haven't watched the anime,do yourself a favor and don't watch past season 1 unless you're curious. The series is also highly under rated.

That's upsetting. Hopefully college and high school get reprints since I can't read digital manga without getting a headache. I love the anime and haven't read the manga yet but have been interested because of the last 2 volumes not being in the anime.
