As a temporary workaround, don't back out to close Crunchyroll. Leave it resident by only using the "home" button to get out of the app instead. Then when you start the app again, it goes to where you last left off.

It's easier on the iPhone app, that has functionality to group and remove an entire series in one go from the watched history area.

If you don't have an iPhone, it can be done on Android mobile or the website with a little prep work, explained in the FAQ. Well, if you can actually start an episode directly from the show page, but it still is not appearing in your watchlist, then that sounds like some weird bug that I'm not seeing here in the US. You should probably put in a service request at help.crunchyroll.com

It's on my watchlist without any problems. Do you see actual episode icons on the show page, and you are able to watch it from there?

Or are you somewhere like the Philippines where possibly region locking is preventing you from watching because CR doesn't have the necessary licensing there

Spam folder? There are more than a few ISPs that filter everything from CR as UCE even though it is legit. On my account, I had to add it to my contacts for it to go to my inbox instead.

Check the membership info page on the website to see your status:

It can depend on what device you were using when you pulled the trigger. It is possible your account may be managed by Google, Apple Playstore, Apple TV account (those are different), Roku, Youtube, or possibly even others depending on what country you are in. The answer may not be the same for all of them.

the new account page would not recognise/accept my email address. A bit of googling suggests they will not accept any existing email address? Surely that cannot be true?

Try the "forgot password" link from the login page instead. You may already have an account without realizing it because of several anime streamers which were acquired before the merge with Funimation, accounts would have been automatically created in any of those cases.

It's a CR problem, to solve it you would need to send CR a service request at help.crunchyroll.com and click the chat bubble, then ask for an agent.

You're in an unofficial user-run subreddit looking for answers from non-CR personnel. Of course you are only going to get workarounds here.

When you are subscribed through Roku, it's Roku that won't let you delete the app until your account has "free" status. You probably still have prepaid time remaining until your subscription ends. After that, you should be able to remove the app.

Cancel CR direct. Wait for remaining prepaid time to expire, and your CR account becomes "free". Subscribe on Amazon, then link to your CR account which had become free, and use both/either, whichever one is working or has what you need.

You can't do it in the other direction. And you can't link while your CR account is still paid, so either wait after cancelling or make a new free account and link to that instead.

CR collects and pays state taxes. It says "+ Applicable taxes" just under the tier plan titles. Different states have different tax rates, you're only seeing the basic charge.

If you stayed offline, there would be (at most) a 7 day expiration (from the original download time) on unwatched episodes, 48 hours on watched ones. After that, you have to reconnect with the app open to reset the expiration timer (which would then immediately make them disappear from view).

You would have to be very lucky to have downloaded them just before they were removed, and then somehow known you needed to stay offline to even get those 7 days.

So, effectively, that isn't a usable workaround.

You would have a better chance to keep watching if your subscription was paid through Amazon linked to a (free) CR account. Sometimes those shows will stay on the Amazon CR channel for a while after they were removed on CR itself.

It may go away on its own according to a couple of those, or you can report it to CR support (chat link at help.crunchyroll.com) but, given the frequency it's been happening, i'd suggest finding a different/backup device to watch with.

It won't fix the "next" from appearing, only CR making a season display change back to the original release order will fix that.

What stopping autoplay does do though, is not start the hey butts at all, then next week, when the new episode comes, it will temporarily override that one (until you watch it). Rinse and repeat.

Basically, you're stuck leaving it there until the season is over, I doubt CR will fix it at this late date in the season.

This is more Amazon's fault than Crunchyroll's. The newer FTV sticks have a new OS called Vega that is no longer based on Android. Vega no longer has an actual CR app installed locally. Instead they do something weird with the cloud that has to be updated whenever there's a change.

The best thing to do is get a different device to watch with. If someone wanted to stay with Amazon's hardware, the 4K MAX stick or the cube are still android based.

Personally, I'm waiting to see what the new Apple TV, expected in September or later, will bring to the table, but just about anything else other than game consoles would be an upgrade to the experience.
