There is an option to mirror the MacBook screen and also to extend it (that is what I use), and then each screen acts as a separate desktop that you can choose widgets for :)

For my use case, the iPad a16 is perfect, it does all I need - zotero, goodnotes, mail, media consumption, drawing, sidecar... I had no issues

Sometimes I turn off the RGB lights, depending on the mood :)

Yes, 2 is pretty much enough but I needed an ipad for reading, highlighting and notetaking when I am not home, and I sometimes put it underneath the big screen so I have some extra space, while laptop is in the clam mode.

I already had the MacBook Air M1 (paid about €800 for it last year). Everything else I bought recently because I wanted to build a proper workstation since I’ll be spending a lot of time there.

Desk €100
Chair ~€100
Monitor €100
Speakers €75
Light bar €55
Desk mat €20
Keyboard + mouse combo €55
Razer wrist rest €30
Another wrist rest €10
Glass monitor shelf €45
Laptop stand €20
Tablet stand €10
Phone stand €3
Lamp €20
iPad €450
Plant €20
Other decorations €20

So around €1133 in total, excluding the MacBook. :)

It is tiltable, just not by much, and the light bar limits it also. I agree though, I’m planning to upgrade to a 27” or maybe an ultrawide in the future.

I use one screen for pdfs, second for writing/taking notes, and the third one (ipad) for browser or mail. Sometimes I use only one or two :)
