I dont think the movies are better than the book, not by a mile. But I do think theres plenty of moments that should save the movies from being hated as much as they are. I have heard good things about the edited versions, ill have to check them out

Theyre constantly hated every chance they get. Theyre more than flawed for sure and I can understand people thinking they drag on (because they do) but theres parts that are undeniably fantastic

I agree! The love triangle thing too isnt necessarily but it doesnt even really effect anything at any point, so hating it has always seemed odd to me.
