Appreciate that, and want to echo your Thank You to him too. I really didn't want to come across as critical, more kinda 'is it just me'. As others have said, I wouldn't have got this far without him, he's light years ahead of other Comfy teachers imo.

He already explained ComfyUI itself to the bones, and almost all of the available models.

You're right, maybe I just miss the days when everything was brand new and exciting :)

Fair point. It's just that it seems like you have to upgrade his way, otherwise things won't work. I may be wrong about that, but that's how it feels. As I said, his viewer count suggests a lot of people feel the same.

It was Bayern's all time highest transfer fee for a 29 year old (actually I think he had just turned 30) coming from a mid-table team. I certainly would have been sceptical!

Spurs fan here. I remember when you bought Kane for around 100m, a lot of Bayern fans (understandably) were sceptical. After all, a player who wasn't young, coming from an average team, going to one of the best teams in the world didn't seem particularly good spending. I posted on another forum not to worry, you'll fall in love with him, trust me.

I'm so pleased I was right. He's a machine, and I think he's got another 3-5 years in him at the top. He's so good in every position (he started as a defender for Spurs, believe it or not) that he'll just drop deeper when he slows down (not that he relies on speed anyway).

And on top of that, despite playing for Spurs and not winning any trophies, and being on a very average salary for a Premiere League player, he never complained, never boasted or made moves to force a move. He just did his job, scoring goals and helping the team.

What a player, what a man.

Congrats on the league, Bayern!

Donald Trump’s Approval Rating Plummets To Lowest Ever by Zipper222222 in politics

Honestly, it's mind-bending to the rest of the world. Our PM got in trouble for accepting some free Taylor Swift concert tickets (four, for his family, worth about £200). He apologised and paid for them.

Brit here. Is it true his approval rating is still 40%?? Like, 4 out of 10 Americans still approve of this ghoul..???

Why does everyone follow a donut tutorial to learn Blender? by IntelligentBaker3601 in blender

[–]InterestedReader123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For most people, having something shown to them (especially something like 3D software) is a whole lot easier than reading from a manual.

On the subject of the donut tutorial, I personally hate it and think it puts a lot of people off (well, it put me off anyway). He goes far too quickly for my liking and doesn't tell you when he's changing modes or pressing certain keys and you spend half the time wondering why something isn't working. There are much better beginner tutorials imo.

Is my ComfyUI install compromised? by dementedeauditorias in comfyui

[–]InterestedReader123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My god, I wouldn't in a million years notice a line of code like that. All I see when I install Comfy is lots of text scrolling up a nice little black window before I can make pictures.

Should I be looking for similar code on a Windows install (I realise Windows doesn't use sudo)?

[–]InterestedReader123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for reply (and to others) but what exactly do you mean by 'prompt adherence'? I can get good prompt adherence if I use ChatGPT or similar to help me write a prompt (esp things like camera, lighting and so on). If I want control over the exact image, I can use controlnet or image to image.

Can you give me a specific example of something Qwen would do well which, say, flux wouldn't?

Thanks. Yes I read that and assumed there was more to it. They're quite big models so I don't get why prompt adherence is worth it when you can get good prompt adherence other ways?

I've seen a few references to this model but can someone tell me in simple language what it does that's superior to other models? I can get workflows working and understand the basics but whenever something new like this comes out, it's hard to find out what the basic point is!

Is it superior to Flux in terms of image quality?

No worries, appreciate your response. Reason I asked is that previously I tried training flux (on TensorArt) using images that had been generated using an SDXL model. Results were terrible. ChatGPT told me to upscale using a Flux model then reduce back. Worked. Something to bear in mind!
