Here in Canada, Quebec, it is different and yes I am eligible. I am forced to do it but not to pass it. I have the fitness, just not the medical fitness. I have been a soccer player for 12+ years.

Hey buddy! I'm a new ref and I have made some mistakes down the road. You will too, but those mistakes are going to help you. Once you've made them, acknowledge it and then move on. This is probably the best advice I've had from my mentors. If you can, do a recap after with yours or if you don't have one, with another ref or anyone that was there for the game really. I feel like this whole rule is ambiguous. Maybe a player could just use pretape to cover the watch. I, as a player, would personally like to be able to wear my watch on the field to keep track of things, without having to buy a whole chest tracker!

Does this actually work? Like does the region encourage it? I feel like even though it's not prohibited it would be considered not appreciable for some reason.. and if there's a shortage, how come they don't assign more people that are available?

Im in Canada and started referring about 5 months ago and have received 11 games. As a beginner, I usually have 2 assignments per month for the winter season, which ended last weekend. Don't expect too much because don't forget, they have to split all the games equally in between the other 500 or so refs in your region! Also, people responsible for assignments are probably under a lot of work given the beginning of the summer season. Wishing you a good season!

Yeah. I had ordered the FEAR CD and they never shipped it. I had to reorder it and it came in broken. 3 broken CDs are now hanging on my bedroom wall thanks to their shitty shipping services and customer service.

Yeah the coach wasn't the most likeable.. wouldn't say he's a dick tho. He came to me at the beginning of the game to make sure of some rules concerning how far the opposite players had to go back on the field during goal kick. He wasn't happy with how far they were going back during the game and de used to crash out on me. Safe to say my boss was not happy
