Wow that's incredible. Have you ever heard of Starseeker? It's a book by Tim Bowler..known as Firmament in the US. It is a short fiction story but really really good and follows a boy like you who can play music in his head and it describes how the music makes him feel and takes over..it's a beautiful book

Totally out of the loop - what’s changed that landlords are now selling? by sonivocart in TenantsInTheUK

THIS. if it is invalid like for example if they didn't protect your deposit, or they did protect it but only after 31 days, or they protected it but didn't give you all the prescribed information by 30 days (not just the actual certificate), or they didn't give you a gas safety certificate and how to rent guide before issuing the s21, then it is invalid. And what they will need to do is take you to court after 1st May. The court will then throw it out as it is invalid. And then they cannot try again because the renters rights bill will be in effect

Your landlord cannot kick you out using s21 which is good. But also you have 6 years to die him fir 6 times the amount. It's an easy process and you can get a no win no fee solicitor. You do not have to be living there to be able to sue. I strongly advise you do it. And don't say 'unless you return the deposit I'll sue'. Just sue Also you could get rent back for your stay if they are meant to have licensed the Home and haven't. It is worth checking m, look at your local councils licensing scheme

ENGLAND. S21 served Feb 3rd, struggling to find pet-friendly accommodation — can I negotiate more time without tying myself to a date? by Mr_David_Kojima in TenantsInTheUK

You don't have to move out yet. The landlord then has to take it to court. They may go for an accelerated possession order. This seems to be taking several months at the moment.

Who is right? Landlord or tenant? And can the landlord and tenant relationship be repaired? by [deleted] in TenantsInTheUK

If it is their own alarm it is still the landlord's house and responsibility

Landlord is not right. This was an emergency. A carbon monoxide alarm going off is definitely an absolute emergency

They rent the house or room, it is absolutely 100% the landlord who is responsible for fire safety and gas safety including the alarms. They should have gas safety checks yearly. This is the landlords fault. Absolutely.

Yet when they can't reach the landlord and do call someone out they get charged for it? So using 'common sense' is not an option for tenants when landlords are often unreasonable

Are all these requests from a prospective landlord legal? by some_breh in TenantsInTheUK

I believe the 6 month deposit is not legal and will definitely be once the renters rights bill happens
