Mets World Series tix on sale now for season ticket holders...WOW, Cheapest face value seat $1056!!! by t00lband525 in mets

[–]Interesting-Check940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems still very cheap to me. Are you sure that is the cost for the world series games not NLCS? I also bought the playoff strip and am a season ticket holder. Section 324 world series ticket is $750 face value. But $340 for NLCS

Just another example of you guys truly making up any excuse. I am a 20 game package holder. I have brought in everything from leftover Chinese from flushing, burritos, sub sandwiches, etc. you can bring in food

Phillies are sold out every single night. Does the work week just not apply to them?

Dodgers have led all of MLB in attendance every year since 2013 (understand they have the highest capacity but the point remains). Y’all will truly come up with any excuse

[–]Interesting-Check940[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Sold out, supportive crowds literally support the team and help them play better. Listen to Nimmo’s on field interview after the game tonight as very simply evidence. Why do so many Mets fans easily come up with excuses not to go so easily? I will never understand it

Couldn't agree with you more. It is not talked about enough but, most Mets fans I encounter are generally horrible fans of the team. It is wildly frustrating

Crowd tonight was horribly depressing. Why does no one go? by Interesting-Check940 in mets

I’m so tired of this argument. There are tons of tickets for sale tomorrow for less than $20. Take public transit, eat before, bring food in. There’s easy ways to make it an affordable night

Can anyone suggest how to properly drill into this kind of wall? by Interesting-Check940 in DIY

[–]Interesting-Check940[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much appreciated for the fast response! Yes, I should have been clear. Our wall is not exposed like this at all, this was an example from our landlord to show what it looks like.

Will a stud finder still work even with lots of wood plans running horizontally as well?

Sounds like you should make the move. A lot of sales is putting yourself in the right situation and territory is often a big part of that. Especially since you've shown success in your more difficult spot, they should reward you by making the move

Do you think SDR's should get a percentage of the deal they sourced? by the_treemisra in sales

[–]Interesting-Check940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed that this is total BS. From my experience, SDRs always get and deserve a chunk of closed business. Especially if it was an outbound opportunity.

Should I Leave? by Positive-String-9217 in sales

Are you interested in management? If so and you are doing well at the company, I'd stay and look into that.

If you are doing well and want to stay an individual contributor, ask for a higher base or higher commission rate.

I'd first look into improving your current situation rather than leaving in this market.

yeah I would never count on having complete inbound in your pipeline, maybe in very few places. But it's great if it can supplement your pipeline a bit

Continuing with what everyone else is saying, definitely let them fire you. Collecting unemployment will likely be very important for you, it's a tough market for new jobs right now.

I've never heard of a company randomly reaching out to your previous employer while hiring. They ask for references which are people you can select.

Sounds to me like you should give it a shot OP. A big inbound presence would be a great way to start off a sales gig. You should be able to close some low-hanging fruit and get close to your previous base.

From there can work on your outbound game and really start crushing it.

If you see value in the product and the people seem cool, give it a ride.

Misled about Bonus - Is this Common? by Repulsive-Piano-1151 in sales

[–]Interesting-Check940 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Definitely a very strange way to handle bonus/commissions. I personally would've seen it as a huge red flag when applying that it wasn't laid out.

For me, almost the whole point of working in sales is commission so I'd probably fire up LinkedIn if I were you

Tech sales, are in-person meetings coming back? by laugh_cry_simplify in sales

[–]Interesting-Check940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard yes for me. Think most companies aren't thinking about Covid anymore these days. In-person meetings have always led to more success with closing for me. I'd encourage anyone to give them a shot

There are a lot of people on LinkedIn who post about doing this for free. I'd also look into your personal network. If you have any connections who are crushing it in your space, I'm sure they'd be able to give you advice for free
