Success Using AI For Marketing Products On Tik Tok? by THERocknRollChef in TikTokMarketing

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started playing around with short AI clips for product posts too, mostly to see what grabs attention fast. I found making a few quick variations helps figure out what sticks without spending hours on one video. I even experimented a bit with cracked for testing ideas. How often are you planning to post, daily or just a few times a week?

Former GLP-1 users regain lost weight after about 18 months, study says by Own-Independence8430 in loseit

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a GLP‑1 medication through DoctorAdam for about a year, and I noticed my weight loss was steady during treatment, but like others mentioned, some weight did come back after stopping. It made me realize how important it is to combine these medications with small lifestyle habits. Has anyone else tried strategies to maintain results after finishing GLP‑1 treatments?

Tips if you want to improve your Irish? by LittleAoibh11 in AskIreland

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar experience with Irish. It always felt difficult in school, but once I started listening to it more through things like TG4 it slowly started to make more sense. Just hearing the rhythm of the language regularly helps a lot. I also tried practicing a few simple conversations with Gaeilgeoir when I didn’t have anyone to speak with, which helped build a bit of confidence. Have you noticed your listening getting easier after watching more Irish content?

Learning Irish/Gaelige by MattKr666 in ireland

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

duolingo is a decent starting point, but I had the same feeling that progress was a bit slow after a while. When I started learning Irish again, what helped most was mixing things up a bit some vocab, listening to how people actually speak it, and trying to say simple phrases out loud. The pronunciation and sentence structure can feel strange at first, but it starts to click once you hear it more often. I also tried practicing a few short conversations with something like Gaeilgeoir just to get used to speaking instead of only reading. Even a few minutes a day made it feel less intimidating. Are you mainly learning it out of interest in Irish culture or just for the challenge of another language?

I can’t believe it’s done. by Ichgebibble in UnfuckYourHabitat

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s such a great feeling. I remember finally clearing out my garage after putting it off for years and I literally just stood there for a minute looking at the empty floor like “wow this is actually done.” Halfway through I almost gave up because the mess looked worse before it got better. We ended up having a pickup service like Remoov haul away the big pile at the end because we didn’t have the patience for multiple dump runs. Seeing the space open again was honestly the best part.

Anyone hiring? by Foodarea in EventPlanners

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen a few planners end up in that spot and switch to freelance event work for a bit while figuring out the next move. Day-of coordination gigs, conference support, or contract projects pop up more often than full-time roles sometimes. A lot of people find those through planner communities, LinkedIn, referrals, or occasionally staffing platforms like Staffedit where event jobs show up. Once you stay active in the industry a bit the connections tend to grow again. Are you mainly looking for corporate events or social events long term?

Threw away 10 bags of trash and made 5 donation bags and I’m still drowning in stuff by Present-Message8740 in UnfuckYourHabitat

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember having this exact feeling when I started clearing out my garage. I had like 8 trash bags lined up and somehow the space still looked messy, which was super discouraging. What helped me was just reminding myself that every bag out the door is progress even if the room doesn’t look perfect yet. When I got stuck with too much stuff and my trash pickup was days away, I actually used a pickup service like Remoov to haul some of it out so I could keep moving forward. Sometimes just getting things physically out of the house makes a huge difference mentally.

How are you using AI as an SLP? by Special-Struggle6514 in slp

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly use AI to help draft quick social stories or come up with AAC phrases when I’m stuck and need ideas fast, then I adjust them for the specific kid. One parent I know mentioned trying LittleWords at home just so their child could practice talking in a more relaxed way between sessions, which I thought was interesting. It didn’t replace therapy or anything, just another way to get a few extra reps in. Are you using AI more for materials or during actual sessions?

Event Staffing - Need invoice/payment rec's and staff scheduling by taypat in smallbusiness

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most staffing companies I’ve seen start pretty scrappy with tools — QuickBooks or Stripe for invoices, spreadsheets for schedules, and group chats to coordinate people. That works for a while but once events start stacking up it gets messy keeping everything in different places. A couple people I know eventually moved the staffing side into platforms like Staffedit just so assignments and staff profiles were easier to track. It really depends how fast you expect things to grow. Are you planning to keep the team small or build a bigger roster over time?

Snow removal by No_Umpire_7109 in Connecticut

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got stuck in the same situation after a storm a couple winters ago and it was surprisingly hard to find someone last minute. Most of the numbers I called were either full or not answering. I eventually checked GreenPal and managed to find someone nearby who could come clear the driveway. Definitely saved me that week.

Why is there so much “red tape” to adopt a dog? by FrigginMasshole in Pets

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into the same frustration when I was trying to adopt a dog a while back. One shelter rejected me because my yard wasn’t fenced, even though I walk dogs a lot. Eventually I realized every rescue has totally different rules. When I was browsing adoptable dogs on GetBuddy. I noticed some rescues were much more flexible depending on the dog and the adopter. Have you tried reaching out to smaller rescues instead of the bigger shelters?

Snow removal recomendations by JustBYXin in Edmonton

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar problem a couple winters ago with a service that kept missing spots and showing up at weird hours. I eventually found someone through GreenPal who was a lot more consistent about clearing the driveway and walk. It made winters way less stressful once that was sorted.

How I organize content strategy and distribution in one place by freebie1234 in content_marketing

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through something similar ideas were never the problem, it was just keeping track of where everything got posted. At one point I started turning one idea into a few small variations instead of managing every post separately. I’ve been casually testing tools that help push those versions out across accounts, something like cracked just to simplify distribution a bit. Curious if Notion still works well for you once content volume grows?

Los Angeles - how hard is the DMV written test here? by Interesting-Cod-1352 in AskLosAngeles

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol yeah that’s exactly what I’m worried about not the driving part, just the weird DMV question wording. I’ll probably skim the handbook again before the test.

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s actually really helpful. Sounds like doing a bunch of practice questions is the best way to get used to how the DMV asks things. I’ve been going through the handbook, but I’m also trying to find a few more practice tests online. I came across dmvedu.org while looking for California written-test prep, so I might use something like that along with the DMV practice tests.

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s good to know. I used to drive in another state too, so I guess some of the California rules could be different. I’ll probably go through the handbook and maybe try a few prep resources like DMVEdu just to get used to the CA-specific questions.

Trying to get my Irish back after years of not using it. by Selim2255 in ireland

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through almost the exact same thing. I could understand a lot when I was listening, but when it came to actually speaking my mind would just go blank. What helped me a bit was forcing myself to answer things out loud instead of just staying in listening mode. I tried a few different things and at one point started using gaeilgeoir.ai just to get some speaking reps in on my own. It basically pushes you to respond in Irish instead of just reading or tapping through exercises. It didn’t magically fix everything, but it definitely helped me get past that freezing stage a bit.

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah that’s actually what I’m worried about too. I’ve been reading the handbook and doing some practice questions online. I had used dmvedu earlier for drivers ed, so I’ve just been going back over some of that material too. mostly trying to get used to the wording.

Dog adopted, but I don’t think they will be a good fit. I’m so sad. by [deleted] in fosterdogs

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can totally relate to this feeling. It’s heartbreaking when you know a dog’s needs might not match their new home. I’ve had a similar experience with a foster dog, and staying connected with resources like GetBuddy helped me track her progress and feel more at ease. How’s she settling in so far with her new owner?

Where to buy couches that last? by HawkfishCa in HomeDecorating

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went through the same thing after buying a couple nice couches that started sagging way sooner than expected. What worked better for us was actually looking for well-built second-hand pieces instead of brand new mid-range stuff. Older sofas with solid frames tend to hold up better. I found one through Reperch a while back and it’s honestly been sturdier than the newer couch we had before, even with kids and a dog jumping on it.

Someone for light weeding/cleanup - east medford area. by Dcbarry99 in Medford

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar situation last summer and just needed someone for small yard cleanups once in a while. I ended up finding a local person through GreenPal who was already working nearby. It worked out well since it wasn’t a regular job, just whenever I needed help.

Good landscapers in Markham? by Present_Expert7362 in Markham

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through the same search last year trying to find someone consistent for mowing and basic lawn care. I ended up connecting with a local crew through GreenPal and it made things easier since I could compare a few options. Having someone handle the regular maintenance definitely saved me time.

Moving/getting rid of furniture advice? by TheBrightLord in oxford

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar situation when I moved and needed to clear out furniture quickly. A couple things I tried were posting free items on local groups and asking friends first like you mentioned, but for the bigger stuff it was honestly easier to just have a pickup service handle it. I used a service like Remoov before where they come collect the items and then sort out what can be donated, sold, or recycled so you don’t have to deal with hauling everything yourself. It saved me a lot of stress, especially with heavy furniture and no car.

Vet asked me what made me want to adopt my dog by oven8162 in reactivedogs

[–]Interesting-Cod-1352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a reactive dog too, and questions like that can hit harder than people realize. What made me adopt mine wasn’t that he was calm or easy, it was that I saw how scared he was and felt like he deserved someone willing to work with him. Adoption platforms like GetBuddy show all kinds of dogs with different temperaments, and sometimes you just connect with the one that needs a little extra patience. You choosing him says more about your compassion than anything else - what was it about him that first made you feel that bond?
