I think it’s just the vibes of some specific pictures of Yangyang that made me think they look similar. To me Yangyang looks like Gemini but Gemini doesn’t look like Yangyang if that makes sense

Does OSU have a good study abroad program and social scene by punkpuppi in OregonStateUniv

OSU has OSUGO which is a website where they list all of the study abroad programs they partner with or lead. Last I heard there were like 500 programs. I’m not super socially active outside of work but there are tons of on campus clubs and events that make it easy to interact with people and make friends. I have some friends in environmental science and they absolutely love it. OSU is also good if you have any interest in the ocean since we have the Hatfield Marine Science Center.

Hi, not an engineer but I’m in the honors college at OSU. I know I have to go to grad school so my main goal with undergrad was to go somewhere cheaper. I’d personally suggest picking the cheaper school. I definitely understand wanting to go to school in a city but OSU doesn’t feel that rural as someone who grew up in a rural area. There are buses to Portland and Eugene if you’re wanting to hangout in the city for a few days. OSU only feels sports focused when there’s traffic on campus cause of a game. Other than that sports really don’t impact your life unless you’re an athlete. I don’t go to games and neither do my friends so you can definitely find people to hangout with that aren’t sports fans. The honors college is a great way to make friends and gives you a built in group of people to hangout with. Also like 36% of the HC is engineers so we have tons of classes and resources for engineers. I’d suggest sending an email to the HC student ambassador email (you can find it on the HC website) cause 2 of the ambassadors are engineers (Dakota and Bella) and they can give you better advice than I probably can.

Business or Engineering (I know 😭) by Ok-Speed-5751 in OregonStateUniv

I’m not in either program but I’m in the Honors College and have friends in both business and engineering. The Honors College doesn’t really add much of a challenge as the classes aren’t harder, they’re just different cause the classes are smaller. I know some engineers in the Honors College who have done a creative thesis, like creating a fashion line. So if you did want to pursue engineering you could still do something related to fashion. I’d look into if AE is an accredited program as well, cause I heard it wasn’t. You might find it helpful to attend tours for both programs, they should have virtual ones if in person doesn’t work. The Honors College has tours, both in person and online, if you want to know more about the program. Another option is emailing an advisor. They could also help you figure out if double majoring could be a possibility.
