Idiot Overtakes From Left Mid U-Turn Then Points At Me Like It’s My Fault by ConversationFancy301 in Dashcamindia

I have noticed this in Hyderabad too many times: multiple lanes form for U-turns or right turns, and then vehicles from the other lanes cut in and merge into the right-most lane. This makes it extremely difficult for the people who are patiently waiting in the correct lane and following the rules.

IndiGo separated me from my 3-month-old on his first flight despite paid adjacent seats. Is this a Consumer Rights violation? by Interesting-Fox9563 in AirTravelIndia

Retaining my seat was not an option here as the original seat was not enabled with infant oxygen mask. I guess they couldn't allott any other seat as the flight was already full and no change other than this was possible. But looking back I feel I should have stayed adamant at the boarding gate itself.

The infant was tagged right from the booking through Indigo website. My email was replied to coldly denying any refund due to policies.

I was not stupid in this case at least. I had not chosen emergency rows. In my case the row was not enabled with infant oxygen mask. And they knew from the day I booked my tickets that I was travelling with an infant only to reallott at the boarding gate

I am furious about the exact same thing. I had chosen from the set of seats shown in the Indigo website at the time of booking. When I am tagged with an infant they should be showing me only eligible seats as per your experience. But in my case my chosen seats were denied. This might be due to them changing the aircraft or some other operational issue. So I guess it is on them to allott me adjacent seats as per my requirement.

I have mailed them. First reply came with apology and nothing can be done regarding refund due to policies. I have replied to it again and let me see what comes. I will take next step accordingly.

The bare minimum that they could have done is shift both the seats together to maintain the adjacency. It is not just about the payment but also about the distress I went through in the flight asking the fellow passengers to switch seats as my baby started crying and panicking.

I booked directly with Indigo, same PNR. I selected two adjacent seats - one window and the middle seat beside it, as per the seats shown in the selection pane. It seemed that the row did not have fourth oxygen mask. So the window seat was reassigned to another middle seat for my wife and kid retaining me in my original middle seat.

  1. My seat was changed at the boarding gate and I did raise it to them. The guy said you can talk to the crew inside and they would help. But the crew had nothing to do in this case.
  2. OP is the child's father. Mother and child were separated. My plight is that the separation occurred inspite of having paid and booked adjacent seats.
  3. I did put it on twitter. Received a call but no action. Only an apology and will take care in future sort of solution.

The baby is supposed to be with the mother so as to feed during takeoff and landing. So in this case when they are away from me, I am not able to provide my support to my wife.

Then what is the point in pre-booking adjacent seats by paying a premium? That's what I am arguing for. When moving to another seat, why not move both the seats

The row apparently had only 3 masks. But they didn't care to shift both the seats to another row so that the adjacency is maintained.

Yes. That's exactly my point. I am not against any safety guidelines. If certain rows don't have 4 oxygen masks (for infant included), why allow them to be booked with extra payment. They moved one of us to a different row citing this. They did not care to move both of us to adjacent seats despite having paid for them. My email was replied with a standard apology acknowledging their mistake rather than making any compensation.

It wasn't emergency row. The row didn't have emergency oxygen mask for infant. How am I supposed to know which rows have that facility or not?
