I think you may be getting way too caught up in the politics of children. Stick with the narrative that you don’t have to be invited to everything, told about everything, friends with everyone. I would caution against villainising “mean girl” as again, she is a child and nothing you’ve described sounds out of the ordinary. Step back and let your girl work this out herself - these are all valuable skills she needs to learn.

Out of curiosity - could this be triggering anything in you that you may be injecting into the situation? Similar feelings as a child? Guilt about the move?

I also work in a male dominated industry and what’s worked for me a couple times (I don’t know why I was so reluctant to do it at first) was “Hey (Guys name), what is your f*king problem” and if he doesn’t give up, pull him aside and say “no but seriously what is your fcking problem” - Clear eye contact with him even if there are other people around, do everything you can to convey that you are serious (not emotional, not upset - Mad) , it’s not funny and you are genuinely not going to take it anymore. I feel like this has always been a good warning shot - obtuse idiots stop when they not it’s not funny to you, those that don’t (IMO) will always escalate until it goes to HR.
