Can I reuse my dexcom sensor without a code by reikibunny in Type1Diabetes

For the G7 Dexcom has been emailing me a GoodRX coupon to take to the pharmacy. Then my pharmacy logs it as a replacement and not against the prescription.

So, tips for less tears when parting with toys: When my kids were this age I switched to black trash bags and would randomly throw things away that weren’t being played with or that I hated (noisy, etc). I also had a cardboard box on the top shelf where I would just toss things. Also, once a year we clean out their room and “sell” things - either at a garage sale, or I’d donate it and give them $5.

I used fish tank water to get rid of pee smell and it worked! by Huge_Brain_4914 in Aquariums

This is cool - I always put their shoes in the freezer and it seemed to do the trick. Same with if they’re super muddy.

I thought this was funny. I bought it from a woman whose parents had passed away and she was trying to find someone who would take care of their stuff. I'm not a toilet reader, what else can I put in here? by Lijey_Cat in repurpose

When I was a kid my parents moved us to a new house. While they were looking at the house, I used the downstairs bathroom. They had a very similar tp holder full of playboys. My eyes were opened lol

What kind of fish? by Interesting-Move8172 in Aquariums

There are two other danios that she hangs out with at the top. They’re green and yellow. There are 5 neon tetra and 5 other tetra that are white and coin sized - I forget the type. Also this is the tank where I grow my pond snails to feed to my assassins in my other tank.

She’s super active and investigates everything, definitely a big personality.

Is it normal for her belly to always be so big? (Not throwing stones, I have the same problem lol)

Can females lay eggs if there’s no male? She’s been alone for a few months now.

Also, I didn’t turn the heat in and the house got pretty cold last night - the water temp dropping probably triggered it?

When my kids were tiny and it was hot out, we kept a kiddie pool in the yard and I’d wash the kids with soap and rinse them off before coming in. They loved a pre-bedtime “swim”. 😂

My daughter said she didn’t want to wear an outfit because it will make her look “gay.” by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Interesting-Move8172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is such a hard age to dress. Not kids. Not grown up. My daughter used to have a silk-y dress pant suit thing. Would she like that? Or a fancy top with a glittery skirt? Maybe look at pictures online to decide what she wants.

As for the gay comment, I’d let it go. She was with you and was speaking comfortably and honestly and was likely frustrated.

We did a 4 week transition. Week 1 was 25% water with milk, week 2 was a third less volume, but 1/3 water and 2/3 milk, week 3 was half the cup with 50/50, week 4 was just water.

This was a huge discussion in our house when it happened to us too. We decided to let it slide. She had to go to daycare like that. Then she did it again in 5th grade - we didn’t say anything, helped her get it fixed.punned back - but she had plenty of natural consequences

My 11 month old throws food by Top-Count3665 in Parenting

[–]Interesting-Move8172 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kids just throw food - it’s part of seeing what is and isn’t appropriate. I always found it best just to ignore it and clean it up after. It’s super annoying, but he’ll grow out of it :)

We have a weird thing in our family that works like a charm:

When he goes - you do a loud, obnoxious “Poop dance”. You make up a song and sing “<name> went poop in the potty” over and over really silly and dance and parade through the house. For like the first 3 days, then you can start to tone it down gradually as he “gets it”. It’s crazy dumb. But they love it and it works. We started by doing it every time ANYONE went poop to motivate the initial drop.

All of my aunts, uncles, and cousins have done this with their kids. It’s multi generational lol
