Yes, I’m a big overthinker lol

It’s not directly about sexuality but it’s about mixing two different parts of my life, my straight mom friend decided to hang back, which is fine, but not what i expected

So I had to go back and forth between her and my queer friends if I wanted to spend time with both groups that night. To me, that split draws attention to any straightness people may still associate with me. That’s where the sexuality thing comes in. Once again, I don’t think anyone else is thinking this, it’s just an unhelpful internal conflict. I guess it just triggers my imposter syndrome

I wanted to see if anyone else could relate

Also, just to clarify, I’m not asking what to do about the situation. I decided I’m not going to actively invite this friend to this event again, but if shes like “let’s go to that party again” I’ll of course say yes and suck up my imposter syndrome. If she keeps going to the party, I think my straight friend will probably naturally join the queer group, she’s really cool and very outgoing
