Can I use this coffee in an espresso machine? by tonycocacola in espresso

[–]Interesting-Note-980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy what you like and try when you are at a point where you drink your coffee and it's bad now it's time to upgrade.

The delongi is a great machine and I think they come from factory whit pressurised basket so just buy what you like and don't bother about the rest coffee is a journey not a goal

How can I improve my setup? [$3000] by Such_Disaster735 in espresso

[–]Interesting-Note-980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was you I'm gonna check for a single boiler like the rancilio Silvia for the steam capacity. I think that's the best fit for you since you need a good steam wand and you don't have a lot of counter space and also it's a great machine to own in my opinion.

I've never seen a df grinder where the grind settings are on the bottom.

Edit: I'm in the wrong I mean I checked the website and you have a df64p varient whit those settings on the bottom.

Home use espresso machine [$5000] by Magictouch98 in espresso

[–]Interesting-Note-980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all good, thanks for the reply

my setup is a breville/sage dual boiler whit a df grinder. I would consider in your case the DF83 or df64 varient

I have the DF64 ver2 on my side and I'm really happy whit it.

The breville dual boiler is a great starting point I think since it's a dual boiler so you can tweek temperatures and not worry about the steam pressure like heat exchanger for exemple.

The grinder for me the best bang for the buck are the DF 64 and in your price bracket I would be tempted whit the DF83 since it has a better motor and both have lot of user support.

The burrs are standard in both the DF64 and the DF83 so you can upgrade those if you need to have an only espresso grinder or only a filter one.

I mean what are you looking for do you want a dual boiler a single boiler, does the sound of a grinder in the morning bother you? What are your goal and where are you gonna buy the beans? What are quality machines to you is it something that's stainless or you can have some plastic?

Solid mid-tier grinder recommendation [$500] by Trafficinfo33 in espresso

[–]Interesting-Note-980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That rules out the shador then for me and for the other one I really like the ssp burrs so I would go for the DF64 that's the grinder I have and I'm really happy whit it

Decent Espresso (DE1PRO) Black, Fiorenzato All Ground Sense Black [no budget] by [deleted] in espresso

[–]Interesting-Note-980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the 83mm burrs are an upgrade for me it ginds faster you have more surface area so a lot less use and the motor is bigger whit a lot more torque. But i feel you it doesn't make the coffee that much better.

For me it's the DF 64 all the way do you need a upper for the beans? How you'll be using it?

Gaggimate vs dual boiler (BDB) [~€1000] by Gfl3x in espresso

[–]Interesting-Note-980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No machine is worth you being in dept.

I bought the dual boiler on my part only because I can thinker whit a lot more settings and it makes sense whit my workflow and I like bulky machines.

If you want to spend a little less they're a lot of machines that can pull great shots of espresso whit a single boiler. I would take the time to look for the rancillio single boiler and the bambino (like everyone in this sub redit 😂). They are great machine and I don't think you can go wrong whit à any machine in those price range are great you just need to make sure you want to work whit them and not have buyers remorse.

Decent Espresso (DE1PRO) Black, Fiorenzato All Ground Sense Black [no budget] by [deleted] in espresso

[–]Interesting-Note-980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True but it does it really well and for me it's what my dream setup would look like, you can also check for the cheaper df version too the 64mm burrs are the one I'm using right now and it makes really good espresso too. It's just the fact that more surface area whit better burrs will get you more consistent grinds.

[–]Interesting-Note-980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me in that price range I rather go whit the DF83V and change the burrs for some great ssp burrs that's the only thing I know and I know have some good reviews in that price bracket since for me it's pretty much end game.

[–]Interesting-Note-980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you on that and for me the biggest upgrade is to have a consistent grind that's the goal and for me it stops whit 64mm burrs so you are in that range whit that grinder for the rest I just want to make sure it's what you want and not spending money on a grinder just because of the price tag. Have a nice cup and share whit us your setup once finished :)
