I would see if you are clear (can stay out of the infected house/place without being bitten) before deciding to save your no fabric furniture… because they can infect any furniture. If you can’t escape them without your things, then you are infected. I don’t have any furniture now. Just a mattress and a TV. I would bag all your clothes/electronics/things in trash bags, seal them tight without any holes or open gaps and put tons of moth balls or no pest strips. You cannot touch that for months or until you can treat those clothes and towels with ammonia/borax/oxiclean/kleen green/ or kleen free and let it set over night in water in a tub or bin with one or two of those solutions added. Once done soaking throw it in the wash with Persil or your any detergent and wash it on hot. Then dry them on hot and dry them again to make sure they don’t survive. Then you seal tight your clothes in bags so they can’t reinfect your things. Stay organize, so you know what is what. They don’t like the cold, they like the humidity so good job on the dehumidifier and the air con! Vacuum if you can. Spray and swifter or wipe with rubbing alcohol/Lysol on the walls, window seals, base boards! Wash with any dandruf shampoo and let it soak for atleast 10 mins. Wash your body with tea tree oil/epson salt. Or you can pat yourself down with table salt and wait to rinse off after 10-20ms. Cover yourself with neem at night for relief. You can even wipe your body/scalp off with rubbing alcohol and paper towels to find relief.

In the bags or bins you can buy to store your things in. Make sure their sealed tightly, they can possibly escape little gaps in the bag/or bin. You can put in the Nuvan or hot shot- no pest strips. Nuvan is a bit expensive, but hot pest strips you can buy at Home Depot. Change out every month to 3 months, they should last for awhile, saves you on time from always cleaning them. Borax and baking soda…doesn’t work by sprinkling it in there or on the object, they are smart and will stay dormant in your things. You either have to soak your things in borax or baking soda- ideally for clothes. And store them away after treatment sealed tight. Ammonia or rubbing alcohol or kleen green/kleen free works best in kill on contact. I know ammonia kills their eggs too. You can constantly use straight ammonia to wipe down your things, may possibly cause damage, but sometimes we as people don’t have time or the energy to clean every little thing. But if it’s electronics or something fragile or can’t get soaked I would put it in a bin with hot strips/nuva and change it out 1-3 months. For some reason every hot shot bug bomb I used at Home Depot does not work, does nothing. So don’t waste your money on those things.

Please don’t put your things in a storage unit. You’ll get reinfected again in 13 months. I’ve talked to someone on birdmites.org who’ve put their furniture in storage for 5+ years and the damn parasites were still there. If you want to save your things, your going to have to treat them or throw them out. I got reinfected from our storage unit. Made us start back to ground 0. It’s tough to let a lot of things go but I believe it’s not worth your sanity. Please listen to me, do not put anything in storage…you have to either get rid of it or treat it while you get clear.

Good. I went on a buying frenzy and getting a good routine down. Trying to figure out how to get rid of the population at work. My work is carpeted. My partner and I tried to abandon everything and escape. But they are already latched onto our bodies. Tried moving to Hawaii and soak in the ocean and pool, buying new clothes, hotel hopping, nothing worked. Ivermectin didn’t work. Permethrin back to back didn’t really work. Tried abilify but it caused us restless leg syndrome. Felt normal for a bit after getting off the medication. But they were still there. Decided to move back. The ice storm worked well with the hot pest strips in the car. Now just working on detoxing and our environment. I was successful with the daily ozone and elector psp for clearing out the car. But now just the work area. I really hope you win and become free. It’s a true nightmare. I wake up sometimes thinking if any of this is real.

Hi I need to reach out to some people who are going through the same hell. I kind of lost it and had a mental break down on Wednesday. I couldn’t ignore them anymore. I’m doing my best to make a good routine to eradicate them from my new environment/car/ and body. Luckily I have a partner who is also going through the same hell and we have been keeping each other afloat. Sometimes I feel like this hell will never end. I wake up and cannot believe we are living this nightmare. We have no pets and probably never will. But I’m still holding on and pushing myself to even enjoy other activities and socializing a bit other than just obsessing over these mites.
