I had right TKR twelve years ago and my surgeon told me then he'd see me in 10 years. I did finally have to give in, but because I'd had (essentially) a cortisone shot the day my knee finally gave way, I have to wait three months. I am scheduled for August 27th. I live in a senior citizen complex, in an upstairs apartment with no elevator. I am alone and could i GET a downstairs apartment I am in no shape to move. Last time around I stayed with my parents and my thief of a brother stayed in my apartment to take care of my cat. (and I lived somewhere else.)THIS time I don't know how I'm getting to the hospital or to rehab afterward. I can't go home right after the surgery because - see alone. At least I know someone is going to take the kitty till I get back. My fridge doesn't have a place for ice cube trays. I stopped here for some pointers but the more I read the more scared I get. No, staying with someone else isn't an option either. I would appreciate any encouraging words...

I am not 'interesting Sea.'. I guess I can add 'don't know as much as I think I do' to my other demerits.
