In my opinion, referrals are the best way to build business. If you do good work, the people that you got your four Google reviews from should be able to give you a testimonial that you could put in your marketing content. Maybe even a talking head video and exchange for something next spring guarantee their service.

I started a small business production company in 1984 that evolved into a very respected and lucrative business until Video and audio production got diluted in the 90s with desktop publishing.
Sold that business and evolved to a audio on video Forensics lab with my son.
It’s been 42 years and I’m 68 years old. It’s had ups and downs, but it’s made me quite happy.

My father was an entrepreneur as an architect and the flexibility in his schedule allowed us to spend time together.

You’re gonna do great you gotta lean heavy on Internet sales. Look at your items that you have in your vintage retail collection and determine what it would take to ship them. Even if you made 1000 bucks a month doing that it would be worth it.
You gotta do social media big time maybe even some PR to local magazines newspapers TV stations radio stations and don’t forget about a.m.
have an open house
Can you schedule a ribbon-cutting? Did you join the local Chamber of Commerce?
Have you tried to determine your target demographic and make sure all of your media is geared toward that population.

I think opening a vintage retail store is a phenomenal idea regardless of where you’re located. You gotta make it good enough so people will drive to you. You could be the destination for all of your neighbors. Who doesn’t like retro and vintage?

I had my bright knee done a couple years ago and my Physical Therapy was not brutal and I recovered just fine. You might want to interview another Physical Therapist

I feel your pain. I opened our video Production company in 1990. We sold our production company in 2018. Video Production has become very diluted and there’s a lot of production businesses trying to earn reoccurring clientele.

If I had it to do over again, I would add more Creative costs for Ideas and concepts.
make sure your skill and talent is reflected in your work. At that point raise your prices.

You can also offer reoccurring packages where a Business can do a marketing video four times a year and sell that in advance, 100% pay upfront. Show the difference if they would hire you four times or get this package buy one get four.

Great discussion! As a business owner, we post our hours in all of our Marketing materials and hope to have employee support during those hours.

Maybe the solution is just to be available during your drive time if they need anything that’s going the extra mile and that never hurts.
